
The Coordinator of the National Youth Council of Nigeria; Comr Asoro Abubakri Olatunji has urged youths to see themselves as leaders of today not tomorrow. Asoro while speaking at the Annual National Conference of the Muslim Student Society of Nigeria Ikorodu West Chapter which coincide with the children day told participants at the event that the future begins today and that the initial quote that youths are the leaders of tomorrow is no longer inspiring.
He enjoined the participants to see themselves as a model of a new Nigeria while dissociating themselves from corruptible tendencies.



The address was delivered by Comr Oyebode Ridwan; Coordinator Igboolomu Youth Movement and Director of Art and Culture of the NYCN Ikorodu West who represented the Coordinator at the event.
Also present at the event was former Commissioner of Home Affairs Lagos State; Hon Abdulhakeem Iyepe who was the Guest Lecturer, among other notable personalities.
The MSSN is one of the affiliate organizations of NYCN Ikorodu West and has the mandate of imbibing Islamic values in Nigerian Students at all level of learning institutions. The Annual National Conference is a wrap up of a week long activities which have other highlights like competitions and visitation to the Executive Chairman of Ikorodu West; Hon Sulaimon Kazeem Olanrewaju FCA FCTI.
