Sustainable Development Goal no 6 targets making Clean Water and Sanitation available and accessible to the people. Hon. Kasunmu said “On our part as legislators and representatives, it is our duty to help domesticate these SDGs in our Constituencies.”

In view of this, Hon. Richard Kasunmu embarked on some borehole projects in his Constituency under ARK COMMUNITY WATER INITIATIVE (ACWI)

The Borehole projects are located in four different Communities , YAKOYO, OJODU, IPODO and ANIFOWOSE.

On his Birthday Monday March 29th 2021, they were commissioned and handed over officially to the communities as part of the activities marking the day.

To take care of power outages, He also supplied four units of 2.5KVA Generators to power the boreholes.

He said “While waiting for the Lagos State Water Corporation to increase its service capacity to our people, it is my hope that these Borehole facilities will go a long way to assuage the water shortages in our communities.
This is phase one, subsequent phases will touch other communities.
