Leo District 404A3 Nigeria celebrates the maiden edition of Ojude Leo on Saturday, September 20, at Imota Stadium — a vibrant cultural event showcasing the rich heritage of Yorubaland. This event is part of the Team 3.0 Leadership Training, tagged ‘SABI’, aimed at empowering youth with leadership skills and cultural awareness.
The Ojude Leo festival served as a platform for the Leos and community to come together to celebrate their traditions.
According to the District President, Leo Tunde Lasisi emphasized the significance of Ojude Leo, stating that it’s more than just a cultural event – it’s a platform to promote Yoruba heritage and traditions among the youth. By organizing this event, the Leo District D404A3 Nigeria aims to instill cultural values and showcase them in the community.
“The Ojude Leo serves as a vibrant celebration of our rich cultural heritage, and we are committed to preserving and passing it down to future generations,” President Lasisi said. He highlighted the importance of cultural awareness and appreciation, especially among young people, to foster a deeper understanding of their roots.
This event aligns with similar cultural festivals in the region, such as the Ojude Oba Festival, which celebrates the rich heritage of the Ijebu people. Like Ojude Oba, Ojude Leo aims to promote cultural identity, community engagement, and tourism.
