Hon. Aro Moshood Abiodun, the member of the Lagos State House of Assembly representing Ikorodu Constituency 2, threw a grand victory party to celebrate his inauguration into the 10th assembly. The victory party was held at Alajede palace in Ijede LCDA, yesterday 6th of June 2023.

The success of Hon. Aro Moshood Abiodun’s victory was highlighted by the presence of various APC leaders in the constituency, who spoke at the event, congratulating him on his successful inauguration. They praised Hon. Abiodun’s commitment to the community and his passion for creating a better Lagos for all residents.

The event was spiced up with beautiful music, as the popular Dare Melody provided entertainment to the guests, who danced and sang along to the various tunes. The atmosphere was filled with joy and excitement as everyone present celebrated Hon. Aro Moshood Abiodun’s victory.

Beyond the music and entertainment, Hon. Abiodun used the opportunity to thank the people of Ikorodu Constituency 2 for their unwavering support and commitment to All Progressives Congress. He promised to live up to his campaign promises by focusing on providing excellent representation and effective service delivery.

Hon. Aro Moshood Abiodun (AMA) held a town hall meeting of APC leaders in Ikorodu Constituency II.

In attendance were Ward and LGA Executives, Ward Councillors, Executive Committee Members and the forty (40) Local Government Delegates across Ikorodu Constituency II.

The objective of the town hall meeting was to achieve purposeful reconciliation before going into the 2023 general elections.

Megalite event centre in Igbogbo Baiyeku LCDA was the venue for the LGA’s and Ward Executives consultation meeting yesterday 22nd of November 2022.

In his speech, Hon. Aro Moshood Abiodun (AMA) expressed gratitude towards the leaders for the epoch-making responses to his call for the town hall meeting and readiness to work as one big family to record a landslide victory for all APC Candidates in the soon coming election.


Appreciating everyone for taking out their time to attend the meeting, AMA stated that soon enough, he’ll be taking his campaign to the constituency 2 regions i.e Igbogbo Baiyeku, Ijede LCDA and Imota LCDA, soliciting a massive show of support from all party loyalists.

Vowing his pursuit not to disappoint Leaders, Supporters, predecessors, AMA exhorted party-eligible voters to turn up en mass to vote for him during the election.


He continued, “My mission is to deliver quality representation for the good people of Ikorodu constituency 2 at the Lagos state house of Assembly, capitalising on the great feats attained by my forebears”.


“As a progressive; representing Ikorodu constituency 2 will keep me busy developing our region, likened to genuine inhabitants and government relationships”.
Illuminating different sectors he maintains interest to enhance across the region, AMA said that health, education, empowerment and social development would be his priority if elected.
According to him, youths will be committed to various work schemes in Igbogbo Baiyeku, Imota and Ijede while further plans will be put in place to ensure the community is safe for business.

Further charging stakeholders in attendance, Chairman of Igbogbo Baiyeku LCDA, Bldr. Olusesan Daini called on all members to turn up and deliver a landslide victory to the party flag-bearers.


Bldr. Daini continued “We have over 100 polling booths in Igbogbo, 70 in Imota and 40 in Ijede, with 15 votes from each booth we’ll realise 3,000 accrued votes from constituency 2 to propel our candidates”.

Directing his words of guidance towards the constituency 2 candidate, Daini implores Hon. Abiodun not negate the promises he made to both leaders and supporters once he emerged victorious.

Expanding that AMA should gaze at the exemplary works of his predecessors and utilise them as a template to improve his constituency further.

“You should not get to the house of Assembly and stop listening to your leaders or people, it is a place for you to put the interest of the people first” Diani asserted in advising Hon. Moshood.
Former chairman of Ijede LCDA, who also contested for the house of assembly seat at the primaries, expressed his enthusiasm on the turnout and essence of the stakeholder’s meeting.


Hon. Fatiu Salisu noted, “It is the first stakeholders meeting AMA is having after his victory at the primaries, and to me, the meeting has been a fruitful outing because virtually all stakeholders from constituency 2 are present pledging their support”.


“We’re using this opportunity to also let the world know that we’re fully behind Hon. Moshood Abiodun Aro, which we’re going to demonstrate during the elections by the special grace of God”.
Adding that it’s Ijede’s turn to take a competent candidate to the house of assembly, Hon. Fatiu concluded that all hands must be on deck to ensure AMA emerge victorious.


Similarly, the Executive Chairman of Imota LCDA, Prince Wasiu Kunle Agoro and the Council Boss of Ijede LCDA, Hon Motunrayo Gbadegbo-Alogba took the stage to substantiate their massive support for Hon. Moshood Aro, who they deem a whiff of fresh air and a new era to the development of the people and the party.

The Imota students Union held a walk against social vices as part of one of the activities lined up for their union week, the walk took place 12th of November, in a bid to inform people about the vices and it’s implications.

Secondary students from different schools gathered with placards which says no to social vices; cultism, street fighting, drug abuse, killing, cybercrime, gambling, thuggery, stealing, smoking, improper waste management and indecent dress.

“I want to appreciate everyone present, we want to walk against social vices and we have gotten to a stage where we the students and the youths are not happy about what is happening in our society and we have stood up to walk against it, in doing this, we are making ourselves the solution to the problem caused in our society.” Said by Comrade Ogunbowale Bodunrin.


Dr. Olujimi Adejo, a civil lecturer of Lagos State University and also the Chairman National Association Academic Technologists, appreciated the conveners of the event, and encourages the attendees to make the best use of this opportunity.

“It’s a greater program, to know that we have been faxed with a lot of insecurity in these town for a while now, I think it is a right step in the right direction at this time that will change a lot of vices in this society . The youths should take it upon themselves to do the right thing at the right time despite our failed leaders.” He said

Mr Lekan ogunbowale a director of commerce and industry said that three things in life is very important, accountability, consistency, contentment and humility.

Comrade fasasi Abdulraheem, a former speaker of the Lagos State University Ojo and a current staff of the Lagos State University department of physics , addressed the students and told them they are training themselves on how to stand in the future.

In commemoration of the Year 2022 World food day the iCare food bank doles out over 500 ‘Aapo Anu’ to the Residents of Ikorodu federal constituency an initiative of Rep Babajimi Benson Member House of Representatives, Ikorodu federal Constituency which took place yesterday 15th of October at the his constituency office.

World food day is observed annually on 16th of October to highlight the millions of people worldwide who cannot afford a healthy diet and the need for regular access to nutritious food. The theme for 2022 is Leave NO ONE behind.

The member House of Representatives, Ikorodu federal constituency Rep Babajimi Benson gave cash support of 50,000 naira each to 200 market men and women across the 6 Local Council Development Areas, LCDAs in Ikorodu Federal Constituency yesterday benefitted from the financial assistance facilitated for constituents in the micro, small and medium businesses in Ikorodu from the National Productivity Centre.

Rep Babajimi Benson in his remarks “We understand the economic situation of the country that’s why we come up with the support for market women to assist them for financial support in their businesses. Also, we planned a tuition assistance programme for fresh students admitted in public tertiary institutions in Nigeria and resident in Ikorodu to alleviate the financial burden on parents and students”.

Babajimi Benson tour some of his facilitated projects in Ikorodu Federal Constituency in the early hours of Saturday, his first stop was Agbala/Eyita roads, 11 roads linking some parts of Ikorodu Central and Ikorodu North LCDA. They are; Oshin-Ladega Street, Agbala, Amudat Jokomba Street, Olokunola Street, Oladunjoye Oriola Street ( Better food), Oguntuga Street, Igbeyin Adun Street, Olaore Oshikoya Street, Ayodele Ayeni Street, Giwa Efugbotu Street and Adeyiga Street (Benson Estate linking Munirat Aleje and Benson bus stop).

Assuming office as a member of Lagos State House of Assembly after the bye election which he assumed on January 17th and left office June 4 2011 wasn’t a begining but a continuity because his experience being a former councilor counts for him, within the short period in office he was able to make an impact.

The Royal Fathers and the three Executive Chairmen of Constituency II unanimously Bldr. Olusesan M. Daini, Executive Chairman Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA. Hon. Prince Wasiu Agoro, Executive Chairman Imota LCDA and Hon.Gbadebo Motunrayo Alogba, Executive Chairman, Ijede LCDA agreed the on decades-old rotational arrangement for Ikorodu Constituency II seat.

Ikorodu Division Chairmen meets on Security, mandates Registration for All Security outfits in the Division ~Ajasa-Info

The Council Chairmen in Ikorodu Division of Lagos, Nigeria has come together to discuss on the mandatory registration of all private security outfits and Vigilantes in Ikorodu Division of Lagos State, with their Local Government and Local Council Development Areas they intend to operate, this was discussed earlier today at the Ikorodu local Government.

The Chairmen also state it clearly they are not against any security outfit in the division, because everyone concerns is the protection of lives and properties in Ikorodu Division.

The Council leaders of the local governments in the division were in attendance alongside Police head, NSCDC, LNSA, NDLEA amongst others.

The press statement goes thus:

“In response to the growing security challenges in almost all parts of Lagos State and our country Nigeria, and as a proactive measure to bolster the security architecture of the Ikorodu Division in Lagos State, we the Chaimen of the Local Government Area and the Local Council Development Areas in the Ikorodu Division of Lagos State, Nigeria, in consonance with our legal and constitutional duties and responsibilities, issue this press statement to inform the general public about the security matters in our Division.”


“Whilst we shall continue to work and remain commited to the security of lives and properties in our geographical jurisdictions in the lkorodu Division by working with all the Nigeria Police Force, the Nigerian military, all the paramilitary establishment, as well as al! the lawful and constitutional corporate bodies, registered entities, traditional institutions, political leaders, among others, we shall
neither abdicate nor abandon our prerogatives and resporsibilities of making sure that the good and patriotic people of Ikorodu Division are not left unprotected from any form of unconstitutional and/or unlawfui activitics contrived not only to whittle down the efforts of the Governnment but also to make the lkorodu Division people undeservedly susceptible and vulnerable to all manners of
vicious elements and/or impostors and/or entities without any credible records on security matters and/or bodies with records and antecedents of working against the success of the Government.”

“To that extent and in consonance with the extant provisions in the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria 1999 (As Amended), to wit:

Section 14. (1) The Federal Repubic 0 NIgeria shall be a State based on the principles of
democracy and social justice.
(2) Tt is hereby, accordingly, declared that:
(a) sovereignty belongs to the people of Nigeria from whom government through this Constitution derives all its powers and authority;


(b) the security and welfare of the people shall be the primary purpose of gOvernment: and
(C) the participation by the people in their government shall be ensured in accordance with the provisions of this Constitution.”


“We, the Chairmen of the Local Government Area and the Local Council Development Areas in the Ikorodu Division of Lagos State in Nigeria, hereby state as follows:


A. All private security outfits (registered or yet to be registered with the Corporate Affairs
Commission) and/or Vigilantes and/or any other entities, however so described, with interest in security in Ikorodu Division of Lagos State, Nigeria mus! be registered and/or officially documented with their local government and the local council development areas where they intend to operate.”


B. In registering, all private security outfits (registered or yet to be registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission) and/or Vigilantes and/or any other entity, however so described with interest in security in lkorodu Division of Lagos State, Nigeria, must submit the profiles (Resumes) of all their directors and personnel as well as their equipment (arms and ammunitions) to the local Government
and the local council development areas where they intend to operate for onward submission to the Nigeria Police Force and other Government-established security outfits.


C. The Chairmen of the Local Government Area and the Local Council Development Areas in the Ikorodu Division of Lagos State in Nigeria shall only be willing and ready to work with private security outfits (registered or yet to be registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission) and/or Vigilantes and/or any other entity however described with interest in security in Ikorodu Division of Lagos State Government that have satisfied the above requirements.

“It is directed that all private security outtits (registered or yet to be registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission) and/or Vigilantes and/Or any other entities, however so described, with interest in security in Ikorodu Division of Lagos State, Nigeria that have not satisfied the requirements above are prohibited from carrying out any form of activities or launching or inauguration, howsoever called in any part of the Ikorodu Division of Lagos State, Nigeria”

“And any form of breach shall be deemed not only as unlawful but as a breach of the relevant sections of the extant Nigerian
Constitution and the Criminal Code

“Sufice it to express, at this juncture, our collective gratitude for the efforts and cooperation of the Nigeria Police Force, the military, NSCDC (Civil Defence), and all the other security cstablishments that have been working with us in the lkorodu Division for ensuring peace, order and security of
ives and properties in the division; we urge you to keep up your good works.”

“In conclusion, we once again assure all the good and patriotic people of Ikorodu Division in Lagos state of our all-round services for the growth and development of the division andits people and security of lives and properties.
