Rep. Babajimi Benson, Member of the House of Representatives representing Ikorodu Federal Constituency, has flagged off the construction of a 7.5 km road from Agbede to Ita Oluwo in Ikorodu North LCDA, on Saturday, 20th of September. The project is a significant development initiative aimed at improving infrastructure and connectivity in the area.

During the flag-off ceremony, Rep. Benson expressed his appreciation to the people of Agbede and Ita Oluwo for their continuous support for the All Progressives Congress (APC). He urged them to do more, particularly by ensuring that those who have not obtained Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) do so, assuring that more projects would be coming to the constituency.

Rep. Benson emphasized that the President never jokes with Ikorodu Federal Constituency, and he wants the people to make him proud with their votes in 2027 in order to get more projects.

The Mayor of Ikorodu North LCDA, Hon. Ameen Olawale Apanisile, in his welcome address, thanked the residents, especially the Community Development Committee (CDC), for their support on various projects. He highlighted the current needs of the people and the benefits of the road project, advising residents to give their total support to the contractors during the project’s execution.

Dr. Adeola Jokomba, APC Secretary for Lagos State and a former chairman of the area, thanked God for the development, stating as the Former Chairman Ikorodu North LCDA he know the purpose of this road in the area. He expressed gratitude to Rep. Benson and the CDC for their continuous support.

Hon. Adesegun Aluko, Vice Chairman of Ikorodu West, thanked Rep. Benson for bringing development to Ikorodu West LCDA.

Alhaji Rasheed Hussain, Chairman of the Agbede Joint Community Development Association, highlighted the struggles faced by the community and the dawn of transformation in their area. He appreciated the Baales and community stakeholders for their support.

A young lady, Ms. Adeagbo, thanked Rep. Benson for facilitating her admission into the University of Lagos without knowing her personally.

The Baales of Agbede extended their appreciation to Rep. Benson and prayed extensively for him. The road project, which spans across Agbede and benefits both Ogun State and Lagos State, is expected to significantly improve the lives of residents in the area.
