… All central mosques has commenced Ramadan Lectures, Prayers in Honour of Rep Benson

Rep. Babajimi Benson, Member House of Representatives, Ikorodu federal constituency hosted the second edition of the Public Ramadan lecture organized by Nasfat, Ikorodu Branch, at his constituency office.
On Saturday, March 8th, the Nasfat Ikorodu Branch expressed their gratitude to Rep. Benson for his unwavering support, particularly during last year Ramadan. The branch’s Committee Chairman, Alhaji Abdulrahman Afolabi, delivered an account of stewardship, highlighting several achievements made possible by contributors, with Babajimi Benson recognized as one of the major contributors last year.
These achievements include the acquisition of 6 acres of land for Islamic estates, which were allotted to members at a subsidized rate, providing affordable housing options and promoting stability and prosperity. Additionally, the branch established a fully solar-powered health service with modern laboratory equipment, advancing healthcare in the community.
The branch also acquired a brand-new ambulance, providing emergency response services and critical care when needed. Furthermore, the branch successfully built its Jananazah facilities, and through the “Feed a Soul” initiative, provided nourishing meals to over 2000 vulnerable members during sahur.
Moreover, Rep. Benson donated solar power to Nasfat, illuminating the environment and improving the quality of life for members. The Nasfat Ikorodu Branch recognized Babajimi Benson’s generosity and commitment to the community, expressing their deepest appreciation for his support.
The Muslim community in Ikorodu has recognized Rep. Babajimi Benson’s outstanding contributions to Ikorodu Federal Constituency, particularly in terms of infrastructure development.
Ansarudeen Islamic Society held a Ramadan Public Lecture in honor of Rep. Benson at their central mosque in Munirat Aleje, Ikorodu.
Furthermore, Anwarul Islam Movement of Nigeria is scheduled to organize another public lecture in of him at the Ikorodu Town Hall on Sunday, March 16, 2025.
In addition, all central mosques in Ikorodu Federal Constituency have commenced Ramadan Public Lectures and prayers in recognition of Rep. Benson’s tireless efforts to uplift the community through infrastructure development.
Sheikh Abdulrasaq Abdulazeez Ishola, the Grand Mufty of Yoruba Land, Edo, and Delta, delivered an insightful lecture on Zakat and charity as solutions to life’s trials.
He emphasized that hunger is a test from Allah, and even wealth cannot always provide relief. Power and prosperity are not permanent; nations rise and fall, and no one is exempt from trials. Many question why hardships befall them despite their devotion, but the cleric reminded them that trials are a part of life and a test of faith.
He stressed that Zakat and charity are not just religious duties but vital ways to support one another during difficult times. By giving, Muslims help ease suffering and build a more compassionate society. In a world of uncertainties, charity remains a lasting solution to human struggles.
Earlier in his lecture, he commended the outstanding contributions of Babajimi Benson in Ikorodu Federal Constituency, citing him as a shining example of exceptional leadership. He praised Rep. Benson’s tireless efforts to drive transformative change in the community through infrastructure development, education, healthcare, youth empowerment initiatives, among others.
