Hon. Sanni Ganiyu Okanlawon, Chairman of the House Committee on Local Government Administration and Community Affairs, has applauded Builder Deola Banjo, Executive Chairman of Ikorodu North LCDA, for his achievements in the LCDA.

The Committee led by Hon. Sanni Ganiyu Okanlawon the Chairman, accompanied by Hon. Aro Moshood Abiodun, Hon. Kehinde Joseph, Hon. Samuel Apata, Hon. Ogundipe Olukayode, and others.

During the visit, Hon. Okanlawon praised the newly commissioned Legislative and Customary Court, describing it as an outstanding structure. He also commended the Local JTF for their exceptional performance.

Builder Deola Banjo stated  they were trained by the Nigeria Police Force and got certified.

However, Hon. Okanlawon urged Builder Banjo to focus on education, empowerment, and healthcare. He suggested providing start-up capital for empowerment programs to reduce unemployment and including free glasses in future health outreaches due to the alarming rate of eye problems.

On infrastructure, Hon. Okanlawon inspected road projects and encouraged the council to do more, ensuring residents receive the dividends of democracy.

He emphasized the importance of encouraging sporting activities among youths to produce talents like Azizat Oshoala, Victor Osihmen among others.

Builder Deola Banjo, Executive Chairman Ikorodu North LCDA expressed gratitude for the committee’s honest assessment, pledging to address areas needing improvement.
