Dr. Adenike, Medical Director of Imota General Hospital, expressed her gratitude to Rep. Babajimi Benson member House of Representatives, Ikorodu federal constituency for facilitating the hospital, which has already treated over 15,000 patients since its commissioning few months ago. The hospital has performed various surgeries, including complex procedures like exploratory laparotomy.

However, Dr. Adenike highlighted three major challenges: diagnostic limitations due to the lack of a laboratory and x-ray facilities, power outages, and ambulance shortages. Despite these challenges, the hospital has made efforts to address them, including renovating the building and liaising with other facilities for diagnostic tests.

Dr. Adenike revealed that Hon. Benson has promised to address these challenges by providing an ambulance, ensuring a stable power supply through a partnership with Egbin Power, and resolving diagnostic issues.

She commended him for his passion and commitment to the hospital’s success, saying, “We really appreciate Honorable for giving us listening ears, we can see his passion towards ensuring that General Hospital Imota becomes a 21st Century Health facility.”
