In a bid to boost Agricultural production and empower farmers, Rep. Babajimi Benson, Member of the House of Representatives, has distributed the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s 50kg Crop Farmers Fertilizer Assistance to 600 farmers in Ikorodu Federal Constituency.

The fertilizer assistance, initiated by President Tinubu, aims to support crop farmers in the country, and Rep. Benson has ensured that his constituents benefit from this laudable program.

Hon. Muyideen Yusuf, Supervisor for Agriculture and Chieftaincy Ikorodu West LCDA, applauded the Federal Government and Rep. Babajimi Adegoke Benson for facilitating the distribution of free fertilizer to farmers in Ikorodu Federal Constituency.

Muyideen said, “The effects of this free fertilizer on the farmers in Ikorodu Division is like giving them empowerment. A bag of this fertilizer costs almost N45,000, so this support will enhance their crops’ germination.”

He advised the beneficiaries to make good use of the opportunity, praising Hon. Babajimi Benson for his leadership and representation. “It’s no accident that he’s leading the top of the ranks of the House of Reps in Lagos. His good deeds and best representation have earned him this position.

Asiwaju Wale Ogunbela, Supervisor for Agriculture in Ikorodu North LCDA, appreciate the Federal Government and Rep. Babajimi Benson for the fertilizer support initiative, describing it as a “beautiful largesse” for farmers.

Speaking on the initiative, Ogunbela said, “This is a very good drive to encourage farmers to plant and have their produce well cultured. It’s a good move. We really appreciate it.”

He noted that the farmers are excited about the opportunity, which is a new development for them. “The impact of this on their farm production is going to be massive. We are expecting a significant increase in production within a couple of months,” he added.

Ogunbela urged the farmers to make good use of the opportunity, increase their productivity, and ensure enough food production to address the country’s food shortage concerns.

Chief Noah Anjorin, Baale Abule Eko, Ijede LCDA, showered encomiums on JB, describing him as a “responsible man” and an “outstanding lawmaker” who has consistently delivered on his promises.

Chief Anjorin expressed his gratitude to Rep. Benson for the timely intervention. “As a farmer, this is an impressive initiative. I have 10 hectares of land for farming, and I was worried about how to buy fertilizer for my crops. But with this 50kg of fertilizer, it’s a huge relief for me.”

He praised Rep. Benson for his unwavering commitment to the welfare of his constituents, saying, “Jimi Benson has been doing great work in the past till now. There are many things we can’t even account for. I appreciate him for this opportunity, and I pray that he will go beyond this position by God’s grace.”

Mr. Ojoluwa Abbas, a farmer in Ikorodu, thanked Rep. Babajimi Benson for providing fertilizer support, saying it will help their crops perform well after struggling with poor yields due to faded land.

He expressed optimism that the fertilizer will bring positive change and appreciated JB’s timely intervention.
