In a remarkable display of consistency and compassion, the iCare Foodbank, established by Rep. Babajimi Benson, has been a beacon of hope for the vulnerable and needy in Ikorodu Federal Constituency since October 16, 2016. This milestone marks almost 8 years of selfless service to the community.

As the first food bank in Nigeria, iCare Foodbank has been a shining example of kindness and care. Through the iCare Foundation, the food bank distributes food ingredients to a minimum of 500 families every month, including elderly people, widows, indigent individuals, and the physically challenged.

The foundation’s approach is unique and thoughtful. They purchase grocery food items and redistribute them in bags called APO AANU or MERCY BAGS, specifically designed for those who need them most. The impact of this initiative has been felt across Ikorodu Federal Constituency, with countless lives touched and hopes restored.

The iCare Foodbank initiative of Rep. Babajimi Benson has brought joy and relief to many in Ikorodu Federal Constituency. Christiana Abo, Secretary of the Dwarf Association, expressed her heartfelt gratitude, saying, “We thank Rep. Babajimi Benson for this timely support. May God bless him.”

Mrs. Oghene Alice and Elder Idowu Segun also praised the representative’s kindness, praying for his continued elevation and success. Elder Segun noted, “We appreciate his consistent support across Ikorodu Division, and we pray for his continued promotion.”
