Rep. Babajimi Benson, Member of the House of Representatives representing Ikorodu federal constituency, flagged off the construction of the 13km Offin/Oreta Road in Igbogbo-Baiyeku LCDA on Monday, 4th of March. This project is set to bring significant improvements to Offin/Oreta community, benefiting residents and enhancing connectivity. 

Rep. Babajimi Benson, expressed gratitude to everyone for their continuous support for All Progressives Congress (APC). He highlighted the Offin/Oreta road construction spanning 13km, which will be equipped with street lights and connect to a jetty. Rep. Benson assured the community that the road would be completed by December.

He also emphasized the importance of supporting local contractors, artisans, and workers, as their involvement would provide job opportunities for the youth. Rep. Benson acknowledged his role in bringing the project to the attention of the federal government and securing contractors for its execution.

He urged the community to cooperate fully with the contractors to ensure the successful completion of the road and the subsequent benefits it would bring.

Oba Abdulsemiu Orimadegun Kasali Adeboruwa of Igbogbo Kingdom expressed his appreciation for Babajimi Benson and his remarkable project. The Oba encouraged aspiring council members to closely observe Benson’s actions and learn from him. He emphasized the importance of seeking guidance from Benson to replicate his success. The Oba also mentioned that there are still many things they wish to accomplish and requested continued support from the community.

Hon. Aro Moshood Abiodun, a member of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Ikorodu Constituency 2, expressed his excitement and appreciate Rep. Benson for the commencement of the road project. He emphasized that once completed, it will bring immense joy to the community and its surrounding areas.

Mr. Jimoh, the contractor emphasized the significance of engaging with the youths in the community to guide them on their path to achieving their goals. Recognizing the challenges they may face, the contractor appealed for assistance in providing support and advice to these youths. The contractor emphasized the essential role of the youth and their faith in God, stating that without them, their collective efforts would not be possible.

Builder Olusesan Daini, the Executive Chairman of Igbogbo-Baiyeku LCDA, emphasized the importance of the road project for the community. Daini clarified that the road would not only improve transportation but also benefit the residents who have returned after relocating.

The chairman highlighted that the road would specifically benefit the 51 Community Development Associations (CDAs), with 30 of them from C1 and the rest from ward C3. This project aligns with Governor Sanwo-Olu’s agenda and will contribute to the overall development of the area.

Prince Abiodun Ogunleye, Asiwaju Olorunfunmi Bashorun, Ashipa Kaoli Olusanya, Hon. Adebimpe Akinshola, Hon. Taiwo Orenuga, and Mr. Adelakun, the CDC Chairman, all expressed their admiration for the outstanding work done by Rep. Babajimi Benson in the area of road construction in Ikorodu Division. They specifically highlighted the positive impact it has had on the people residing in the respected areas. The commencement of offin/Oreta road construction project was also acknowledged as a significant development that brings convenience and ease to the community.
