
Hon. Batife Daisi, the Councillor representing the people of Majidun-Ogolonto and the Deputy Leader Ikorodu West LCDA has extended his heartfelt appreciation to Governor Sanwo-Olu and the Education Board for their intervention of the 17 rooms including Classrooms, staff room, and toilet at C&S Primary School 1 in Idi Iroko through his request.
Hon. Batife Daisi, the Deputy Leader of Ikorodu West LCDA and Councillor representing Majidun-Ogolonto ward, expressed his gratitude to God Almighty, the Lagos State Government under the leadership of Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Lagos State SUBEB and Hon. Sulaimon Kazeem Olarenwaju, the Executive Chairman of Ikorodu West LCDA.
During his manifesto as an aspirant, Hon. Batife Daisi promised to facilitate the renovation of the C&S school and donate a food cafeteria. Last year, he fulfilled his promise by building a food cafeteria in honor of the late Baale of Idiroko, Chief Aluko. The cafeteria was officially opened by Alayeluwa of Ipakodo Kingdom Oba Engr. Bashiru Sotonwa on August 7, 2022.
Now, the school renovation is nearing completion, thanks to the efforts of Hon. Sulaimon Kazeem Olarenwaju and the support of the people of Majidun.
Hon. Batife Daisi extended his appreciation to His Excellency Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, Dr. Saheed Ibikunle and educational board for listening and taking action on the requests made by him.
He said Dr. Saheed Ibikunle the Permanent Board Member of SUBEB was notified about the situation and he made the job easier for him.
Mrs. Martins Atinuke, the Head Teacher of C&S Primary School 1 in Idi Iroko, shares her journey and gratitude for the recent developments at the school.
Mrs. Atinuke recalls being transferred to the school as an assistant head teacher in August 2017. Since then, the school building has faced various issues. Determined to create a conducive environment for teaching and learning, Mrs. Atinuke and her team wrote multiple letters to the government through their education board (SUBEB). Thanks to the intervention of Honorable Batife, progress was made.
Hon. Batife recognized the dilapidated state of the building and took action. The government intervened and began the renovation process earlier this year. Currently, the renovation stands at around 80% completion, with only minor adjustments remaining. Mrs. Atinuke expresses her gratitude to God for this positive development.
Additionally, Mrs. Atinuke highlights Hon. Batife’s contribution to the School. Through his efforts, a cafeteria was commissioned in the school premises last year, benefiting food vendors and enhancing the overall experience for students. Mrs. Atinuke hopes for continued support from Hon. Batife and sends her blessings.
The food vendors at C&S Primary School 1 in Idi Iroko have come together to express their heartfelt appreciation to Hon. Batife Daisi for his contribution towards the construction of the cafeteria last year.
The vendors, who previously operated in less than ideal conditions, now have a dedicated space to prepare and serve meals to the students. Hon. Batife, upon observing their situation, made the decision to build the cafeteria and provide a better environment for the vendors.
