Rep. Babajimi Benson Chairman House Committee of Defense, earlier today inspected the on-going construction of Pashoku road in Ikorodu Local Government and Akin Ogunlewe road in Igbogbo-Baiyeku LCDA which has been completed, He expressed his appreciation to the people for their support throughout the road construction. He thanked Senator Adeseye Ogunlewe and Hon. Adebimpe Akinshola, who was born on the road, was acknowledged for her continuous support and efforts to add value to the Igbogbo community.

Rep. Benson also mentioned that street lights will be installed within the next two weeks, and he said Builder Sesan Daini has been supportive in addressing barriers on the road. Rep. Benson hinted at a big surprise for Igbogbo, which will be revealed on a chosen date during a handover ceremony.

Earlier in the day during the inspection of the construction of Pashoku road Rep. Babajimi Benson was accompanied by the Hon. Commissioner for Youth and Social Development Lagos State Hon. Mobolaji Ogunlede, Rep. Babajimi Benson, in his remarks, expressed his immense joy at seeing the smiles on the faces of the people as they warmly welcomed him. He acknowledged the community’s support during the election and emphasized the need to repay their trust by delivering the dividends of democracy.

Rep. Benson highlighted the collaboration between himself, the Commissioner for Youths and Social Development, and the Special Adviser for Rural Development, stating that they will work together to complement each other’s efforts. He also commended Mobolaji Ogunlede, the Commissioner, as a good younger brother who consistently surpasses expectations. Rep. Benson assured the community that he and the Commissioner will strive to do even more for the development of Ikorodu division.

Hon. Mobolaji Ogunlede, the commissioner for Youths and social developments Lagos state in his remarks “We are here In Ikorodu today for two main reasons, one with Rep. Jimi Benson an older brother and mentor to me, we are here specifically because as you are aware, we are at the Ita-Elewa Youths center which is under the ministry of Youths and social developments, it was handed over to us sometime last year, however there were little bit of snag and Rel. Babajimi Benson in his wisdom as he has decided to do another round of renovation at the Youth center here which is under the ministry of youths and social development.

Dr. Nurudeen Agbaje SA to the Governor on rural development said “I am not surprised by what I am seeing today, this is not the first time that Jimi Benson will be exhibiting his function about the reconstruction of roads, social infrastructure in Ikorodu environment, immediately he started with Bashorun road I was not surprised, he has started the project and I know that he will still continue and finish it. My advise to the people is that the road is well maintained by them. So much money as been put into it and the only thing expected of them is that it is well managed. It has been restructured earlier and it is renovated again.”

In the course of appreciating Rep. Babajimi Benson for the construction of Akin Ogunlewe road in Igbogbo-Baiyeku LCDA, the CDA Chairman of the area In his interview said ” Rep. Babajimi Benson have done a lot for us, and many people are grateful, along the line this project started when we thought it was a joke, but you made it a reality, in order to maintain the road for a long time, we are going to lias with the local government to put barriers at the starting point of the road and the end, we are very grateful for all you have done for us”.

Builder Olusesan Daini the Executive Chairman Igbogbo-Baiyeku LCDA said ” I want to thank you for what you have done for Igbogbo-Baiyeku community, this is one out of many, as your first road assignment as a representative of Ikorodu Division was that of Igbogbo-Baiyeku then, apart from the road we have benefited many things from you, we appreciate you, and we appeal to you not to close your door and we will ask for more”.

The APC Chairman, Igbogbo-Baiyeku Hon. Taiwo orenuga extended his appreciation towards Rep. Babajimi Benson he said ” we appreciate you for having passion for your community, and the people you represent at the national level, God will continue to bless you”.

Hon. Adebimpe Akinshola former Member of the Lagos State House of Assembly and Former Commissioner in the state also expressed her appreciation to Rep. Babajimi Benson for his good representation at all time in Ikorodu Division.
