
“The root of education is sweet and the fruit is sweeter,” declared HON. Yomi Shoderu Special Adviser on Education in Ikorodu West LCDA, during the visit to Anglican primary school Isawo, Ajaguro primary school Asolo and
Local Government primary school Majidun earlier today, the purpose of the visit was to distribute writing materials to pupils as a back-to-school package for the 2023/24 academic session.
HON. Yomi Shoderu emphasized the importance of education in Nigeria and Lagos State, aiming for IKORODU WEST LCDA to serve as a shining example for others. He expressed concern over the current state of pupils’ writing skills, noting that the use of exercise books not specifically designed for early classes hampers their writing development.
To address this issue, on the first day of resumption, September 4th, 2023, HON. Yomi Shoderu and the Executive Chairman of IKORODU WEST LCDA provided Early Child Care and Development classes (ECCD), and exercise books to aid better learning and support teachers in guiding pupils’ writing abilities.

HON. Sulaimon Kazeem (SKO) expressed heartfelt remarks regarding the power outage at ANGLICAN PRIMARY SCHOOL ISAWO. He promised to restore power to the school and provide support in all areas as needed.
Mrs. Durotinu Comfort, head teacher of ANGLICAN PRIMARY SCHOOL ISAWO expresses her gratitude’s to the Chairman and Special Adviser on Education for their undelaying support and kindness towards the pupil of the school at all times, she added electricity has been our major difficulty in this school, when I came, I heard that some people broke into the school building and cart away the cables that supply electricity into the school, ever since we have been making use of generator, I feel so elated as our HON. CHAIRMAN has promised to restore power back to the school.
REV.OBASAN ADEDOYIN, one of the community leader in Isawo also extend his pleasing gestures towards the Chairman for reaching out to the families whose houses got dilapidated last month, and also thank him for visiting their community for the presentation of the writing materials for the pupils.
HON. FEMI ANIFOWOSE (SLG), HON. ADELANI OKUADE (SUP. FOR YOUTH AND SPORT), HON. OSOKOYA MORENIKE (SUP. FOR HEALTH), amongst others were all in attendance to present the writing materials to the pupils.
