Pavilion ground of Adeboruwa of Igbogbo’s palace played host to dignitaries and well-wishers across the local council development area on the 21st of November 2021, as the 33rd annual igbogbo day celebration spearhead its hall of fame ceremony

A solemn event set up to commemorate and honour the lifetime/legacy of extraordinary and standout characters in the territory over the years laying an iconic emblem on their smidgen attainment.

Anchored by the central planning committee of the 33rd Igbogbo day celebration), the occasion was graced by the paramount ruler himself, Oba Semiu Orimadegun Kasali (Adeboruwa of Igbogbo kingdom) as chief host chaperoned by council of baales and other respected authorities.

Before the induction, Mr Titilope Andu-Balogun (chairman 33rd Igbogbo day celebration planning committee) intimated guests in attendance on the significance of the hall of fame event.

“The captions of our conscripts do not only ring a bell here in Igbogbo baiyeku but similarly across Lagos state and the tread of Nigeria. This is why it is simply exact we do arbiter to their bequest and long-winded performances by framing them with an enduring and evergreen stamp“

“We’re proud and privileged not only to have our King here present in this auspicious event, but also to have the Adeboruwa of Igbogbo kingdom aid us inducts these prestigious highlighted personalities into the hall fame, engraving their legacy in the heart of Igbogbo”

Officially Inducted by Oba Semiu Orimadegun Kasali (Adeboruwa Of Igbogbo Kingdom) into Igbogbo baiyeku Hall of fame includes; Asiwaju Olorunfunmi Basorun, Hon Adebimpe Akinsola (First female member, Lagos state house of assembly), Prince Jimoh Ogunmuyiwa (First football Referee in Igbogbo), Alhaji Sikiru Tanimoshe Andu (Imam responsible for Igbogbo central mosque construction), Chief Olatunji Bakare (First University Graduate), Chief Olatunji Odusanya (First permanent secretary Lagos state), Senator Adeseye Ogunlewe, Marian Badejo (first medical nurse), Rotimi Olasiji Sotomiwa (first member of the Lagos state house of assembly), Chief Olukayode Faniyi (first petrol station owner in Igbogbo), Emmanuel Dankuwo (first chairman, Igbogbo baiyeku LCDA) and Rufus Solawon (first executive chairman Ikorodu LG)
