The good people of Ekiti East Local Government Area hosted the MKD Araoye Social Security Scheme program on September 2nd, 2021. The scheme which Hon. Makinde Araoye Initiated about 10 years ago empowered about 505 indigent senior citizens, physically challenged persons and APC party faithfuls drawn across the 6 Local Government Areas (LGAs) of Ekiti South Senatorial District with cash and food items.
The beneficiaries are from Ekiti East LGA, Gbonyin LGA, Emure LGA, Ise/Orun LGA, Ekiti South/West LGA and Ikere LGA. The last episode of the scheme which holds quarterly, took place at Gbonyin LGA
The tentacle of the Social Security scheme which he flagged off in 2011 with just 15 senior citizens from his Ilawe-Ekiti country home in Ekiti South West Local Government as beneficiaries has now been extended to cover senior citizens and the physically challenged from all the towns and villages in the Ekiti South Senatorial district of the state.
He also paid a courtesy visit to His Imperial Majesty, Oba Dr. Noah Adejuwon Omonighehin Okinbaloye II, the Olomuo of Omuo Kingdom, His Imperial Majesty HRM Oba. Adesoji Akinyemi, The Onisin of Isinbode and His Imperial Majesty Oba Ajayi Oluwasesan Omolagaba Oloruntola I, the Alasa of Iyasara Ekiti. They all appreciated the kind gesture meted out to the good people of Ekiti East LGA
