WHEN AND WHY DID YOU JOIN POLITICS?

I joined politics in the year 2003. I joined politics is for betterment of the community. It will pave way for me to have impact for the progress and frontier of our community.

WE LEARNT YOU ARE ASPIRING FOR COUNCILLORSHIP OF YOUR WARD, WHAT VALUE DID YOU HAVE TO ADD TO DEVELOPMENT OF THE YOUTHS IN YOUR LOCAL GOVERNMENT IF YOU ARE GIVEN THE OPPORTUNITY TO SERVE?

My desire to run for the Councillorship of my Ward, A6 under the ruling party, All Progressive Congress was borne out of my conviction to serve my people diligently, having acquired the required skills, attitude and knowledge as a community leader. I believe I have what it takes to represent the good people of ward A6.

By this declaration, I hereby present to you my 7-point agenda with the theme “THEATER”

  1. Transparency.
    ii. Honesty.
    iii. Empowerment.
    iv. Accountability.
    v. Transportation.
    vi. Equity.
    vii. Reliability.

I want to assure you of a robust representation that would reflect on the lives of the common man on the street. I will use my experience as a grassroots politician and as a Community Youth Leader.

HOW CAN YOU PROVE IT TO THE ELECTORATES THAT YOU BELONG TO THE WARD WHERE YOU ARE ASPIRING FOR THE COUNCILLORSHIP POSITION?

Mind you, I am from the KAJOLA ZONE Papa Epe. My grandfather was the former Oloritun of Papa, Chief Late Lamidi Ogunniyi Baba Oja (Baba Alagbo) at Anifowoshe street, Papa, Epe.

WITH THE CALIBER OF ASPIRANTS EYEING THE COUNCILLORSHIP POSITION IN YOUR WARD, WHAT IS YOUR CHANCE OF WINNING YOUR PARTY TICKET?

I believe in Almighty Allah and our party leaders in Ward A6. I’m well known to them than any other aspirant due to my selfless services. The caliber of people aspiring is nothing but, the quality representation matters.

YOU SAID YOU ARE WELL KNOWN DUE TO YOUR SELFLESS SERVICES, CAN YOU MENTION YOUR SELFLESS SERVICES TO THE HUMANITY?

In the year 2019 I went to Zumuratul Pry School Epe to distribute school uniforms, school sandals, notebooks and other writing materials to the pupils. During the COVID-19 pandemic, I gave out food stuffs to the aged in Ward A6. We Went to Recreation in front of Epe Girls High School to guide Motorcycle and vehicles against accident for the Students.

Sensitisation of our people about Say No To Rape across the nooks and crannies of the community. Sensitisation of COVID-19 Pandemic for using nose masks in our community.

IS THIS THE FIRST TERM YOU ARE ASPIRING FOR THIS POSITION?

This is the third term am aspiring.

WHY WERE YOU NOT CHOSEN OR YOU STEPPED DOWN FOR SOMEONE?

When I first aspired, decision was made by our party leaders then, Hon. Tunde Ogunkoya from Okorisan zone was given the opportunity and during my second aspiration on same elective position, Hon. Dehinde Olorunniyeni from Olafenwa zone was given the ticket.

HON. DEHINDE IS SEEKING FOR SECOND TERM DON’T YOU THINK HE CAN STILL USE HIS INFLUENCE TO GET THE PARTY TICKET AGAIN?

We don’t allowed second term in Ward A6 due to the new born baby of the ward out of 7 zone we have in the ward only 3 (three) zone have benefitted the councillorship seat

WHEN IT COMES TO ISSUES OF SELECTION FOR ELECTIVE POSITIONS, CAN YOU SAY IT BOLDLY THAT YOUR LEADERS CAN DO JUSTICE?

They have been doing good in the past but this time around, I will plead with them to use their good positions to select an old timer, grassroot politician and not those are in the corner when we are struggling for the glory of our great party

WITH YOUR TIGHT SCHEDULES, WON’T YOU FIND IT DIFFICULT TO SERVE THE PEOPLE IF YOU ARE ELECTED?

100% my tight schedule is the service to humanity and community development.

WHAT ADVICE DO YOU HAVE FOR THE LEADERS OF YOUR PARTY, APC IN THIS FORTHCOMING LOCAL GOVERNMENT ELECTIONS?

My advice for my leaders of our party, is to select productive candidates who will lead our party for the betterment of our people and also use their positions to move our society forward.
