As the Stadia at Ita Elewa near completion the commission dim it fit to see how things are being done by the workers on the site.
There was also a renovation of the Youth center which is being done by the Lagos State Government, this is to allow indoor games such as Table Tennis, Scrabble, Chess etc.
According to the Chairman of the commission during an interview with journalist, he said the facilities at the complex included a 5-aside pitch, players dressing room, indoor halls and so on.
He appreciates Hon. Babajimi Benson member house of Representatives representing Ikorodu federal constituency for facilitating such project.
He said since the assumption of this administration by the Executive Governor of Lagos State, he said the Sport Commission has been charged to start preliminary work across the sport centres in Lagos State but due to Covid 19 and its effect on economy it has affected the process.
He said they will be doing it one after the other, in order for it to spread across the state.
Talking on reconstituted board he said they are more younger people in the board that it is to say the Governor listen to the yearnings of the youth involvement in Sport.
They are not just people that are sport minded, they have people who has management experience who can generate revenue, he also stated that they are gender friendly in the new board.

He said community, Facilitator, and the State Government will be involved in maintaining the Sport center.
Going further, he said the expansion plans will create more rooms for harnessing Talents and supporting the gradual growth process of Sport Orientated individuals across board.
On the issue of Covid 19 affecting sporting activities in Nigeria,The DG said Lagos State was the first state to stop sporting activities in Nigeria when the Covid 19 is ravaging, also first to resume.
He assured that more is still coming from this administration in the area of Sporting activities in Lagos State, and Igbogbo pitch was inspected as well on what structure that will be built on it.
