I.D.Y.I Honours Kara, Lagos Tescom Board Member ~Ajasa-Info

In what could be regarded as an example of a popular saying; “a good turn deserves another”, the Ikorodu Division Youth Initiative (IDYI) today honoured a member of the Lagos State Teaching Service Commission (Tescom) board, Commissioner Leke Oluseun Kara for his outstanding performance towards the youth development of Ikorodu and his selfless service to Lagos State in general.

Speaking on behalf of the group at the event, the Executive Director of the movement, Comrade Samson Bisiriyu expressed the satisfaction of the group towards the extraordinary performances of Mr. Leke Kara at the board which has positioned Ikorodu division as a viable part of Lagos State. “Ikorodu division is actually lucky to have your type and calibre represent her at the board. We are delighted to see how passionate you are in ensuring that anything that represent Ikorodu division is not shortchanged in the affairs of Lagos decision making process and implementation of policies as it affects education. We hope to have more of you as the voice of Ikorodu in more higher position like this in Lagos”, he said.

The awardee while appreciating the group for seeing him as a worthy recipient of the honour admonished members of the group to emulate good virtues and principles in all of their endeavors which would in turn portray Ikorodu division in good light. He also praised the group for all it has been doing in her own capacity to proclaim the good gospel of Ikorodu division and assured that if they continue in the same vein, the sky surely would be their starting point. Mr. Kara who was obviously honoured to be recognized by the group assured the members of his continued support for the group.

Present at the Presentation of the award are; Member of Board of Trustees, Mr. Godwin Oke Olaoluwa, the Executive Director, Mr. Samson Bisiriyu, the Director and Deputy Director of Admin, Mr. Sola Sokoya, Ms. Teniola Akemu, Director of Media, Mr. Hammed Olaniyi, Director of Project and Deputy, Ms. Olafare Comfort, Mr. Oriyomi Adebogun, and a beneficiary of TESCOM, Mr. Ayodeji Akinrinlade.

The short but memorable event was held at the office of the Honourable Commissioner, Mr. Leke Kara at the Tescom headquarters, Old Secretariat, Ikeja, Lagos State.
