-Rates Eredo Council boss high
Not fewer than three hundred and fifty Eredo residents benefited from the 3rd bi-monthly conditional Cash transfer, coordinated by Lagos State Operations Coordinating Unit, Lagos State Ministry of Wealth Creation and Employment, in collaboration with Eredo Local Council Development Area.
The event held at L. G. Primary School, Igbooye, on Wednesday 6th January, 2021, was flagged off by the Honourable Commissioner, Ministry of Wealth Creation and Employment, Hon. Mrs. Yetunde Arobieke with the Executive Chairman, Eredo LCDA, Adeniyi Saliu and His Royal Majesty Oba Olufolarin Olukayode Ogunsanwo, the Alara of Ilara (Telade IV).
Hon. Arobieke in her address encouraged the beneficiaries to use the cash judiciously and reiterated that government is already intensifying efforts on the need to enlist already enumerated members of the communities who are yet to be captured in the national data base.
She commended Eredo Council boss, Hon. Adeniyi Saliu for his cooperation and for providing an enabling environment for their team in Eredo.
Hon. Saliu while welcoming the honorable commissioner and her team to Eredo LCDA, assured that his administration will continue to support such initiative at all times, for the benefits of our people.
Oba Olufolarin Ogunsanwo, the Alara of Ilara in his speech expressed appreciation on behalf of the beneficiaries to the the federal government, State and Local governments. He said this act will go along way in alleviating poverty in the society.
Earlier, the Council boss led the Honorable Commissioner and her team to the Alara’s Palace to pay homage to the Paramount Ruler before gracing the event.
Beneficiaries were drawn from Igbooye, Ilara, Odoyangunshen, Ijih, Agodo Village, Erimope village, Origanrigan village, Imeru village, among others. Other Communities across the LCDA are expected to be enlisted on the National Database after capturing anytime soon.
