…. Chairman Reaffirms Commitment to Community Health and Well-being

As part of activities commemorating the 2025 World Mental Health Day, the Lekki Local Council Development Area (LCDA), under the leadership of its Executive Chairman, Engr. Rasaki Bamidele Kasali (MNSE, MNATE), organized an enlightening public lecture and medical outreach aimed at promoting mental health awareness, access, and care across the community.

The event, held on Tuesday, featured a keynote presentation by Dr. Ilemobayo, Senior Assistant at the Ibeju-Lekki General Hospital, who spoke extensively on the theme of the day and stressed the importance of moving from “awareness to action” in tackling mental health challenges at all levels of society.

In his address, Engr. Kasali reaffirmed his administration’s unwavering commitment to improving healthcare delivery and promoting the overall well-being of residents. He commended health professionals, facilitators, and participants for their active roles in advancing public health initiatives within Lekki LCDA.

The outreach also featured free medical screenings, counseling sessions, and the distribution of essential medications to participants, reflecting the council’s continuous effort to ensure accessible healthcare services for all.

Engr. Kasali further reiterated that his administration will continue to invest in health-focused programs, partnerships, and community sensitization efforts that enhance both physical and mental wellness among the people of Lekki LCDA.
