The Executive Chairman of Lekki Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Engr. Rasaki Bamidele Kasali (MNSE, MNATE), has rewarded outstanding students across primary and secondary schools within the LCDA for their academic excellence.
At an award ceremony held on September 27, 2025, pupils in upper primary classes (Primary 4–5, now promoted to Primary 5–6) were recognised and presented with dictionaries, school supplies, and cash prizes. Similarly, exceptional students in Junior Secondary School (JSS 2–3) and Senior Secondary School categories—across Arts, Science, and Commercial streams—were also honoured with educational gifts and monetary rewards.
Speaking at the event, Engr. Kasali reaffirmed his commitment to promoting education, stating that the initiative was designed to encourage academic diligence and reward excellence among young learners.
“Education is not a scam. Hard work pays, and this is our way of showing students that their efforts are recognised and valued,” the Chairman said. “We will continue to support and invest in quality education for our children because it remains a reliable pathway to a brighter future.”
The programme is part of broader efforts by the Lekki LCDA to enhance educational development and inspire students to reach their full potential.
