
In a bid to enhance access to clean and safe water, the Executive Chairman of Lekki Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Engr. Rasaki Bamidele Kasali, has successfully completed the installation of 25 solar-powered boreholes across various communities in the LCDA. This initiative is part of the chairman’s commitment to addressing the water needs of the people and improving their overall quality of life.
The boreholes are located in communities such as Ebute Lekki, Lekki, Oshoroko, Origanringan, Okunraye, Magbon Segun, Itoke, Lege, Tiye, Imobido, Apakin, Oriyanrin, Otolu 1, Otolu 2, Okegelu, Lepia, Ikegun, Ise, Obada, and Imoba Oke. These projects were among the requests made by the communities and have now been fulfilled.
The Chairman, Engr. Rasaki Bamidele Kasali, noted that this project is part of their commitment to addressing the water needs of the people and improving their overall quality of life. He expressed delight in being able to fulfill the requests made by the communities, believing that the initiative will bring immense joy and relief to the residents.
Engr. Kasali emphasized that the use of solar power to operate the boreholes demonstrates their commitment to sustainability and environmental friendliness. By harnessing renewable energy, the LCDA aims to reduce operational costs and make the boreholes more reliable, ensuring their long-term sustainability and making life easier for the people of Lekki LCDA.
