
Following her inauguration on July 27th by Governor Sanwo-Olu, the people of Ikosi-Isheri Local Council Development Area (LCDA) welcomed and celebrated in grand style the inauguration ceremony of Princess Samiat Abolanle Bada as Mayoress for her second term in office, she also emerged as the Vice Chairman, Lagos East of Lagos Conference 57. In the same vein, the Legislative Arm also took the oath of office, with Hon. Onikosi Ismail emerging as the Leader of the House.
In her inaugural address, Princess Bada expressed her deepest gratitude to Almighty Allah for the opportunity to serve the people of Ikosi-Isheri once again.
She extended her heartfelt appreciation to the people, her family, the All Progressives Congress (APC), elders, leaders, stakeholders, youths, women, and every single voter who stood firmly with her. Princess Bada emphasized that the victory was not hers alone but a collective triumph for the people of Ikosi-Isheri. She acknowledged the trust placed in her and promised to work tirelessly for the betterment of the council.
Princess Bada highlighted the progress made during her first term, including the construction and rehabilitation of roads, rebuilding of schools, revitalization of health centers, empowerment of traders, and provision of opportunities and women. She stated that the second term would focus on “consolidation and expansion, building on the foundation we laid.”
The Mayoress promised a government that would work tirelessly with honesty, transparency, and focus, assuring the people that she would not betray the trust placed in her. “My promise to you today is simple but strong: the next four years will be better than the last. The best of Ikosi-Isheri is yet to come, and together, we will achieve it,” she declared.
With a renewed commitment to making Ikosi-Isheri greater, Princess Bada expressed her gratitude to the leadership for appointing her as the Vice Chairman East Senatorial District of Conference 57. She also appreciated President Bola Tinubu, Governor Sanwo-Olu, Otunba Bushura Alebiosu, Baba Shosanya, Alhaji Mutiu Are, Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi, Hon. Kunle Soname, Hon. Afolabi Kazeem, and specifically thanked Barr. Ogala who stood firm on what the law says during the primary election. She thanked other stakeholders who worked with her for their support. She ended her address by thanking the people once again from the depth of her heart.
Hon. Onikosi Ismail, the Council Leader of Ikosi-Isheri Local Council Development Area (LCDA) also representing Orile-Ikosi Ward, promised to work diligently with the Executive Chairman, Princess Samiat Abolanle Bada. During his inaugural address as the Leader of the 6th Legislative Assembly of Ikosi-Isheri LCDA, he expressed his gratitude to the Executive Chairman for the support and being a great Leader.
The Council Leader pledged to collaborate with Princess Bada to attain good development and growth in the community and its environs, contributing to the overall progress of Lagos State and Nigeria. Hon. Ismail assured the good people of Ikosi-Isheri LCDA that himself and his colleagues would work tirelessly to ensure the success of the council.
