… Methodist Church Igbogbo bestowed the title of Otun Asiwaju on Daini



After eight years of dedicated service, Bldr. Olusesan Daini, the immediate past Chairman of Igbogbo-Baiyeku Local Council Development Area (LCDA), has bowed out of office. To mark the end of his tenure, Daini held a Thanksgiving service at Methodist Church, Igbogbo, where he expressed his gratitude to God for guiding him throughout his time in office. In the same vein, Daini was bestowed with the title of “Otun Asiwaju Ijo” by the Methodist Church Igbogbo in recognition of his contributions.

In his remarks, Daini reflected on his accomplishments and offered words of wisdom to his successor.

Daini emphasized the importance of accountability and trust in leadership. “People’s vote is trust given to us, and we should keep it judiciously. We should not take it for granted, and we should make sure that for every step we take, we should be ready to account for the trust that has been given to us,” he said.

Daini also charged his successor to listen to the people and prioritize their needs. “He should listen to people, and he should note that people of Igbogbo-Baiyeku LCDA are interested and ready for more development, even more than what happened during my tenure,” he advised.

The immediate past Chairman wished his successor well and expressed optimism about the future of the council. “I wish him all the best” he said.

The Adeboruwa of Igbogbo Kingdom, HRM Oba Abdulsemiu Orimadegun Kasali praised Daini for a job well done, expressing gratitude to God for his accomplishments. He noted that the community had witnessed significant development under Daini’s leadership. He emphasized that despite their past differences, their shared goal of developing the community had always been paramount.

He pointed out that Daini’s efforts had placed Igbogbo-Baiyeku LCDA on the global map, and he attributed this success to Daini’s leadership.

The royal father pledged to provide more support to Daini’s successor, stating that he would do more than what he had done for Daini.

Reverend Emmanuel Tunde Alegbemi commended Builder Olusesan Daini for his remarkable achievements during his tenure as Chairman of Igbogbo-Baiyeku Local Council Development Area (LCDA). He described Daini’s accomplishments as a source of pride for the community, citing the various development initiatives and projects undertaken during his tenure.

Alegbemi expressed gratitude to God for Daini’s life and achievements, and urged public officials to emulate his example of service and accountability. He lamented that some officials often abuse their positions for personal gain, neglecting the needs of those they serve.

Comr. Tayo Odusanya, the former Supervisor for Budget and ICT of Igbogbo-Baiyeku Local Council Development Area (LCDA), has praised Builder Olusesan Daini for his exemplary leadership. Odusanya, who worked with Daini in two separate terms, described his experience as tremendous and expressed overwhelming joy in seeing Daini’s achievements recognized.

He noted that Daini has set a high standard in using government power to serve humanity, and his achievements in Igbogbo-Baiyeku LCDA are a testament to his effective leadership. He described Daini as standing out among other chairmen, and hoped that his legacy would endure. Odusanya became emotional as he reflected on his time working with Daini, highlighting the impact of Daini’s leadership on the community.
