Lagos State Deputy Governor, Dr. Kadri Obafemi Hamzat, commissioned the Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu Administrative Block and Abeokuta Street in Mosan-Okunola Local Council Development Area (LCDA), praising outgoing Chairman, Princess Olabisi Adebajo, for her commendable performance and transformative projects.

Dr. Hamzat emphasized that the Chairman’s achievements are a testament to her dedication to grassroots development. He noted that the LCDAs created by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu have been instrumental in extending development to the grassroots across the state. Dr. Hamzat highlighted the importance of the new administration living up to the expectations of the citizens who elected them.

Dr. Hamzat stated, I applaud the Chairman for these transformative projects. This is all what we can see right so we can see the buildings we can see the roads. The standard is set so high that they must, as a matter of fact, they must do well. The party will be on their neck, the citizens will be on their neck.

In her address, Princess Adebajo expressed heartfelt gratitude to the people who voted for her, the management staff, and the legislative arm for their support. She highlighted her administration’s achievements, including the construction of roads and the Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu Administrative Block, which she named in recognition of President Tinubu’s contributions to Lagos State’s development.

Princess Adebajo also commended President Tinubu for creating the LCDAs, which she believes has brought development closer to the people. She assured the people of Mosan Okunola that her door remains open for them, even after her tenure ends, and thanked President Tinubu, the Governor, and Deputy Governor for their presence at the commissioning ceremony.

Barr. Ayo Olugbenro, representing Princess Adejoke Orelope-Adefulire, Senior Special Assistant to the President on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), commended Princess Adebajo for championing people-oriented initiatives and naming the administrative block after President Tinubu. She highlighted the importance of localizing SDGs and ensuring that no one is left behind. Barr. Olugbenro noted that local government plays a central role in achieving the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

Other dignitaries who spoke at the event include Hon. Bolaji Robert, Commissioner for Local Government who applauded the Chairman for her contributions to the development of Mosan Okunola and urged the incoming Chairman to do better.

Hon. Ajigbotafe, Commissioner for Wealth Creation, Lagos State, also commended Princess Adebajo for delivering great projects and urged the incoming administration to do better.

Baale Opeki prayed for the Chairman’s continuous growth after office and commended her for her service to Mosan Okunola
