
The All Progressives Congress (APC) Ikorodu Central has kicked off its campaign in Ward D, with Hon. Shotomiwa Wasiu highlighting his track record of good representation in the ward. During the campaign launch, Hon. Wasiu pledged to continue serving the people of the ward, citing his personal implementation and facilitation efforts in his first term in office.
The ward also received a significant boost with a special performance by renowned Fuji maestros Alhaji Sule Adio Atawewe and Igwe Remi Aluko. The dynamic duo took to the stage, entertaining the audience and showcasing their support for the APC candidates.
With their captivating performance, Alhaji Sule Adio Atawewe and Igwe Remi Aluko electrified the crowd, generating immense excitement and enthusiasm among the attendees. Their presence added a unique flavor to the campaign event, highlighting the APC’s commitment to engaging with the community and celebrating local culture. The Fuji maestros’ endorsement is seen as a significant morale booster for the APC candidates as they continue their campaign in the ward.
The Chairman of the Local Organising Committee for the campaign, Alhaji R.I. Jinadu, emphasized the importance of showcasing the APC candidates to the people of the ward, also introduced the Chairmanship candidate and Vice Hon. Adedayo Ladega and Hon. Bisiriyu Alogba, He urged voters to turn out en masse to vote for the APC candidates, citing the good work being done by incumbent Chairman Hon. Wasiu Ayodeji Adesina in the ward. Jinadu specifically mentioned the development projects in areas such as Ayanra Street and Dada Street as evidence of the APC’s commitment to improving the lives of the people.
The APC chieftain also praised the efforts of the people of Ikorodu during the last presidential election, where the local government came first in supporting the APC. He called on the people to continue their support for the party, citing the potential for transformation in Ikorodu if the APC were to win the Governorship. The APC councillorship candidates for the ward were also introduced, with two females and five males vying for the top positions.
