
The Ikorodu Students’ Association (ISA) hosted the ISA Health Expo 2.0, a flagship event that exceeded expectations and showcased the power of collective effort in promoting health awareness and wellness. The expo, aptly themed to address pressing health issues, foster healthy living, and drive collaboration in healthcare, was a 2-in-1 event that included a free health workshop and medical checkups, providing residents with a comprehensive healthcare experience.
Held on Thursday, May 29th, 2024, at Ikorodu General Hospital, the event was a resounding success, with attendees praising the organization and execution of the program. The expo was led by Comr. Oshineye Rofiat, with the support of the Ikorodu General Hospital team. This collaboration between ISA and Ikorodu General Hospital was a testament to the commitment of both organizations to improving health outcomes and advocating for health awareness in the community.
The event’s significance cannot be overstated, as it provided a platform for stakeholders to converge, share knowledge, and shape the future of healthcare in the community. By tackling real health issues and sparking meaningful conversations, the expo was able to make a tangible impact. ISA extends heartfelt appreciation to the Executive Chairman Ikorodu LG, Hon. Wasiu Adeshina, for believing in the initiative and taking it beyond expectations. Special thanks also go to the M.D, Dr. Taiwo Hassan, and the generous staff of Ikorodu General Hospital for their genuine expertise and immense contribution to the event’s success. The ever-vibrant SSA on Social Development to the Governor, Hon. Biliamin Oba, was also in attendance, gracing the event with their presence. A colloidal number of attendees were present making sure every participation and engagement made the health expo truly unforgettable.
The ISA Health Expo 2.0 has set a new standard for health awareness and advocacy in the community, and it would be a beaut to behold of the impact of this event in the years to come. It’s very much apt to stare that the student association is clearly raising the standard beyond limits
