Builder Olusesan Daini, Executive Chairman of Igbogbo-Baiyeku LCDA, awarded a ₦3 million cash prize to three exceptional students who demonstrated outstanding performance in the Igbogbopedia competition from 2022 to 2024.

Each of the three exceptional students, Dauda Adijat from Community Senior Secondary School Baiyeku, Ojikutu Peace-O from Andus D’Guest Schools, and Oyebanire Oluwaseun from Hebron Height, received a cash prize of ₦1 million each for their outstanding performance in the Igbogbopedia competition.

During the award ceremony held on April 30th at the council’s secretariat conference hall, Daini emphasized the importance of education, encouraging students to focus on their studies to achieve success. He stated, “The intention of our administration is to prove that education still pays. You don’t need to dive into social vices to succeed. Study hard, and the world will open its doors.” Daini also highlighted the council’s deliberate strategy to reward academic excellence and counter rising skepticism among youth who view education as a “scam” due to societal pressures.

The event was attended by notable figures, including the Council Manager, Mr. Badmus Lateef Omokayode, supervisory councillors, and members of the Igbogbo Day Education Committee. The ceremony was filled with applause as students, teachers, and guests witnessed the recognition of academic excellence.

The recipients were visibly excited and thrilled. They applauded the Chairman for recognizing and rewarding academic excellence, pledging to do even more in their academic pursuits.
