
Igbogbo Platinum Lions Club distributed food packs to residents through its Hunger Relief Project for the year 2025, yesterday, 25th of March.
In her address, Lion Princess Basirat Adetutu Banjoko, President of the Igbogbo Platinum Lions Club, emphasized the club’s mission to reach out to the people and give back to the society. She noted that the project aims to bring smiles to people’s faces and make the world a better place.
Lion Princess Banjoko highlighted the club’s philosophy, which emphasizes that one does not need to be wealthy to make a positive impact. She stressed the importance of caring for others and sharing with those in need. By doing so, individuals can contribute to making the world a better place for everyone.
Lion Dr. Folashade Shotomide, the District Governor 404A3 Nigeria, expressed her appreciation for the Igbogbo Platinum Lions Club’s initiative, stating that it is a significant effort, particularly during this period. She emphasized that the project aligns with Lions International’s goal of relieving hunger and addressing food insecurity globally.
According to Lion Dr. Shotomide, the project’s focus on providing essential food support to families and individuals in need resonates with Lions International’s mission to serve communities and make a positive impact on people’s lives.
Mr. Olamide, a physically challenged resident, was visibly excited to receive the support. He appreciated the club for providing relief at a challenging time like this, which would greatly benefit him and his family.
Mrs. Omolara Martins, a widow and mother of three, also expressed her gratitude to the Igbogbo Platinum Lions Club for the food packs. The food pack would go a long way in feeding her family, she noted.
