In a heartwarming gesture, Otunba Leke Adekoya, a well-respected member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Somolu Local Government, also a Chairmanship Aspirant launched the “Breakfast with Somolu Residents” initiative. The program, which Adekoya had been planning for a while, aims to provide breakfast to residents in the area.
During the launch, Adekoya distributed 100 loaves of bread per ward, along with a special package containing Beans ( Ewa Agoyin) for a complete breakfast experience. The event was a huge success, with the bread being snapped up within 30 minutes.
Adekoya, who has served as Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to the governor on Surveyor matters, expressed his commitment to the program, stating that he would continue to organize it every month, regardless of his intention to contest for chairman. He also encouraged others to emulate his gesture, describing it as a “stomach palliative” that brings people together.
With plans to increase the number of loaves distributed to either 150 or 300 per ward next time, Adekoya’s initiative is set to have a lasting impact on the community. As he aptly put it, “It’s worth it.”
