In a bid to further consolidate partnerships for sustainable growth and development, the leadership of Ikosi-Ejinrin Local Council Development Area (LCDA) under the stewardship of the Executive Chairman, Otunba-Akogun Wale Raji Anomo, paid a courtesy visit to the Lagos State Commissioner for Agriculture, Ms. Abisola Olusanya, at her office in Alausa, Ikeja. The visit, which took place yesterday, was also attended by the Executive Chairman of Ibeju-Lekki Local Government, College Engr. Abdullah Sesan Olowa. 

During the visit, both chairmen shared their respective plans to complement the ongoing agricultural initiatives of the Lagos State Government. Discussions centered on fostering collaboration to ensure the effective implementation and optimization of projects aimed at enhancing food security and agricultural tourism in the state. 

*Ikosi-Ejinrin: An Emerging Agricultural Hub*
Otunba Wale Anomo highlighted the transformative potential of the Lagos Food and Logistics Hub, set to become operational in the near future. He also pointed out the establishment of the Feedlot and Cattle Fattening Center at Igbodu community, Ward R1, as a key milestone for the LCDA. These projects, he stated, will position Ikosi-Ejinrin as a premier agricultural tourist destination within Lagos State in the coming years. 


Expressing gratitude to the Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, and his Deputy, Dr. Kadri Obafemi Hamzat, for selecting Ikosi-Ejinrin as a host community for these groundbreaking initiatives, Otunba Anomo reaffirmed the LCDA’s commitment to maximizing the opportunities provided. He also commended Commissioner Abisola Olusanya for her dedication, professionalism, and openness in making the projects a reality.


The visit underscored the importance of synergy between local and state governments in driving sustainable development and agricultural innovation, ensuring that Ikosi-Ejinrin remains on the path to becoming a major hub for food production and logistics in Lagos State.
