
As part of efforts to promote healthy living, raise awareness about social vices, and inspire positive change, a 0.3km fitness walk against social vices, cultism, and drug abuse will hold on January 18, 2025.
The event, themed “Walk for a Brighter Future,” is organized in celebration of Hon. Sulaimon Kazeem Olanrewaju’s (FCA, FCTI) 57th birthday. The walk aims to promote a healthy, drug-free lifestyle among youths and communities, while also creating awareness about the risks associated with cultism, social vices, and drug abuse.
Participants are expected to gather at the Oba Sekumade Palace, Ebute Ipakodo, Ikorodu, by 7:00 am. The dress code for the event is any sporty fit with a white top, symbolizing holiness and peace.
According to the Coordinator, Comr. Anuoluwapo, the event objectives include creating awareness about the dangers of cultism, social vices, and drug abuse, promoting a healthy lifestyle, and inspiring positive change in the community.
The public is invited to participate in the walk, which promises to be a fun and impactful event. Participants are encouraged to invite friends, family, and colleagues to join the walk and make it a group activity that promotes bonding and community spirit.
