Hon. Rasheedat Abiodun Adu, the Council Chairman of IRU/Victoria Island LCDA, put smile on the Senior Citizens face as she disbursed cash palliatives to 250 of them in a heartwarming event. The gathering was filled with joy and gratitude as the elderly residents received financial assistance of 20,000 Naira each, aimed at alleviating their economic burdens.

During her speech, The Chairman emphasized the importance of giving back to the community, stating, “Giving back maximum dividends of democracy is very important to this administration since inception as we unveil different programs and projects in the LCDA.” She assured the attendees that her administration remains committed to ongoing support and future developmental projects, rallying behind the slogan, “Igbega Ilu Iru Odidandan.”

The beneficiaries expressed their heartfelt appreciation, showering prayers and praises on the chairman for her unwavering support.

In a related honor, the IRU/VI LCDA Artisan Association recognized Chairman Adu with the Outstanding Chairman Award, acknowledging her dedication to the growth of the organization and her milestone achievement as the first chairman in Eti-Osa to inaugurate an Artisan Association.

The event was graced by various dignitaries, including executives, members of the legislative arm, party chairmen, and women leaders, all coming together to celebrate this significant occasion.
