
Rep. Babajimi Benson, member of the House of Representatives for Ikorodu Federal Constituency, has flagged off the construction of the Adamo-Araro road in Ikorodu North LCDA. This significant infrastructure project is expected to be completed within three months and will include essential features such as drainage systems on both sides of the road and streetlights to enhance safety and accessibility.
Rep. Benson has consistently demonstrated his commitment to improving the lives of his constituents. His efforts in enhancing infrastructure in Ikorodu division have been widely recognized.
The Adamo-Araro road construction project aligns with Rep. Benson’s vision to link up Ikorodu, as it will be connecting 40 communities and fostering economic growth and development.
Rep. Babajimi Benson represented by Mayor Deen Sanwoola, Director General of iCare Foundation, in his speech he stated that residents of Araro-Adamo will benefit hugely from the road construction project. He stated that this development is a result of the persistent efforts of The Baales, Councillors, and LG leadership, aligning with the agenda to link up Ikorodu with 40 communities.
He emphasized that the road will be constructed for a duration of three months, and Rep. Babajimi Benson will visit the site to inspect progress and negotiate the additional portion with The Baales.
He noted that the youths should be cooperative with the contractors to ensure a smooth execution of the project. Additionally, Gbaga Junior School will receive additional classrooms to enhance educational facilities. He stressed his appreciation for the DPO of Araro Police Station for safety in the community.
This project is part of Rep. Benson’s broader efforts to improve infrastructure and quality of life in Ikorodu.
Builder Deola Banjo, Executive Chairman Ikorodu North LCDA expressed heartfelt gratitude to Rep. Babajimi Benson for his unwavering commitment to infrastructural development in Ikorodu North LCDA and Ikorodu Division at large.
He acknowledged JB’s numerous contributions, including the completion of Lambo Lasuwon road just a month prior and the flag-off of another project in Ikorodu North LCDA.
Banjo highlighted the deplorable state of the road, which had only been tarred 30 years ago, and praised Benson for his plan to rebranding the area. The road, which links to Emuren and neighboring communities, is a vital connection for residents.
Additionally, Banjo stated reasons his led Administration established Gbaga Junior School, aimed at easing students’ travel burdens. This development underscores the council’s focus on education and community growth.
Oba Olukayode David Raji, the Eweye of Isiu, has appealed to residents to corporate and Collaborate with contractors working on the project in ensuring a smooth and hitch-free process. He also expressed heartfelt appreciation to Babajimi Benson, Representative of Ikorodu Federal Constituency, for his unwavering support to the people of Ikorodu North LCDA.
Prince Niran Ogunbanwo, Chairman CDC in Ikorodu North LCDA, urged house owners and residents to cooperate with contractors working on the ongoing road construction projects.
Ogunbanwo commended Rep. Babajimi Benson for delivering on his promises, particularly in road infrastructure development. This year, Benson has successfully completed all the roads he promised to construct.
On behalf of the Community Development Areas (CDAs) in Ikorodu North LCDA, Ogunbanwo expressed profound gratitude to Rep. Benson for his tireless efforts. He also appreciated the Councillors for their hard work and dedication to the community’s progress.
Joint CDA Chairman, Comrade Salako expressed heartfelt gratitude to Babajimi Benson for the opportunity to improve the community’s infrastructure. Salako thanked Benson for his unwavering commitment to bringing development to the area and pleaded for the road to be extended to benefit more residents.
