
Igbogbo-Baiyeku Legislative Arm led by the Council Leader, Hon. Nurudeen Alimi has taken a significant step to immortalize the legacy of Builder Olusesan Daini, Executive Chairman of Igbogbo-Baiyeku LCDA.
Hon. Nurudeen Alowonle Alimi, Leader of Igbogbo-Baiyeku’s legislative arm, has praised Council Chairman Builder Olusesan Daini for his exceptional leadership. Alimi noted that Daini is the brain behind the LCDA’s rebuilding and re-architecture though the Legislative are also in Collaborative with the great work, showcasing his innovative ideas and collaborative spirit.
Alimi commended Daini’s dedication, hard work, and passion, emphasizing that his efforts have been recognized and legitimized by both the legislative and traditional councils in Igbogbo-Baiyeku LCDA.
He encouraged future leaders to emulate Daini’s exemplary qualities, ensuring a brighter future for Igbogbo-Baiyeku LCDA.
Hon. Hakeem Sholawon gave a brief history of the road which was presented at the floor of the house, applauded Builder Olusesan Daini’s outstanding contributions to Igbogbo-Baiyeku LCDA, and he appealed for market street renamed in his honor. “I’m very familiar with that area as it falls within my ward, I know how it was before and I know how it is now, all thanks to our Chairman,” Hon. Sholawon said.
According to Princess Adetutu Banjoko, Deputy Leader recounted what happened at the last Ojude Oba where High Chief Tajudeen Onasanya, the Odofin of Igbogbo Kingdom, proposed renaming Market Street after Builder Olusesan Daini, Chairman of Igbogbo-Baiyeku LCDA.
“The Odofin rose and sought to rename Market Street after Builder Olusesan Daini due to his tremendous work,” Princess Banjoko recalled. “Residents were joyful over this pronouncement.”
“Although it was also our intention, we still need to go through the process,” Princess Banjoko explained. “As we deliberate on it, permit me to seek the house’s approval to rename the street after Builder Olusesan Daini.”
Hon. Mathew Kolawole Arowolo, Majority Leader of the Igbogbo-Baiyeku Legislative Arm, moved the Motion renaming Market Street after the Executive Chairman of Igbogbo-Baiyeku LCDA, Builder Olusesan Daini. Arowolo praised Daini’s achievements, stating they “cannot be overlooked”. The motion, which was seconded by Princess Basirat Adetutu Banjoko, aims to immortalize Daini’s legacy by naming the street “Comrade Olusesan Daini.”
Following the pronouncement of the Adeboruwa in council at the palace on Ojude Oba day. This historic declaration solidifies Chairman Daini’s enduring impact on the community since his inception in 2017. Under his visionary leadership, Igbogbo-Baiyeku LCDA has witnessed transformative growth in economic development, infrastructure, education, healthcare, political reform, cultural preservation, security (JTF), Empowerment, and human capital development. The Legislative Arm also addressed pressing community concerns, mandating reminders to be sent to the Council Chairman regarding the erection of barriers on Market Street, the need for parliamentary action on Oluwo Amoju, and the urgent requirement for intervention on Demeke Street to ensure easy traffic and pedestrian movement.
Hon. Jimoh Ogunmuyiwa, the first Executive Chairman of Igbogbo-Baiyeku LCDA and current Baba Oloja General of Igbogbo Kingdom, has commended Chairman Builder Olusesan Daini for his outstanding work in the local government. He expressed his admiration, saying, “Today, I pay a lot of respect to Builder Olusesan Daini. I commend him for the great things he is doing in our Local Government, and I would also thank him for bringing a new face to our market street.”
Mr. Badmus L.O, Council Manager of Igbogbo-Baiyeku LCDA, praised the session, describing it as “interesting, highly focused, and educative”. He highlighted the impressive attendance, which drew stakeholders from across the community, and the valuable contributions made by legislators.
Alhaji Ibiyeye Rasaq, Chairman of the Community Development Committee (CDC) in Igbogbo-Baiyeku LCDA, has expressed his heartfelt appreciation for the outstanding work done by Chairman Builder Olusesan Daini in the local government. He stated, “What I witnessed today made me very happy because Builder Olusesan Daini has actually done lots of great work in our local government.”
