In its continued bid to support parents and ensure that financial constraints don’t hinder children’s access to primary education, Hon. Motunrayo Gbadebo-Alogba, Executive Chairman of Ijede LCDA, has distributed educational materials and grass-cutting equipment to Government primary schools in the area.

Notably, this year’s edition of the annual program saw the introduction of grass-cutting machines, a significant addition aimed at enhancing the maintenance of school environments.

The ‘Back to School Intervention’ program benefited over 2,000 pupils across five primary schools, including Anglican Nursery and Primary School, Anwar-Ul-Islam Primary School, Egbin Kingdom Primary School, Methodist Nursery and Primary School, and Community Nursery and Primary School.

During the presentation, Hon. Gbadebo-Alogba emphasized the critical role of primary education in children’s development. “Primary education is the foundation upon which future success is built,” she said. “We are committed to improving educational infrastructure and maintaining a clean and hygienic environment in our schools.”

She urged the pupils to “Work hard, stay focused, and never give up on your dreams. Education is the key to unlocking your potential. Respect your teachers, obey your parents, and always strive to be the best version of yourself.”

She also encouraged the pupils to take advantage of the educational materials provided, urging them to make the most of the opportunities available to them.

Teachers, Pupils applauded the initiative of the Chairman, Mrs. Onaneye Janet Idowu, Head Teacher of Anglican Nursery and Primary School, commended the council boss for her impactful contributions to improving education in Ijede LCDA.
