In a groundbreaking ceremony, Akogun Wale Raji Anomo, Executive Chairman of Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA, laid the foundation for Officers’ Quarters at the Ketu-Ereyun Police Station. This significant move aims to improve security infrastructure within the LCDA.
The event drew prominent community leaders and stakeholders, including Council Manager Mr. Awobajo Sunday, Regent of Ketu High-Chief Adewale Badru, and Secretary to the Local Government Hon. Miniru Temitope.
Anomo emphasized the project’s importance, highlighting how it will facilitate effective duty discharge by police officers, ultimately benefiting the community. He revealed plans to replicate the initiative at Agbowa Police Station upon completion. “As a Council, we prioritize security officials’ comfort, directly impacting our people’s safety,” Anomo stated.
The council also donated 3.5KvA generators to Ketu-Ereyun and Agbowa police stations to address inadequate power supply. Divisional Police Officer CSP Idungafa Nsidibe expressed gratitude to Anomo, describing the Officers’ Quarters as a morale booster. “This gesture will enhance officer productivity, and we assure efficient service to the community,” Nsidibe stated.
Anomo’s commitment to improving law enforcement working conditions is expected to positively impact security within the Council area. This initiative demonstrates the LCDA’s dedication to supporting the Nigeria Police Force and ensuring a safer community.
