
Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, presented the staff of office to HRM Oba Abdulganiyu Adekoyejo (Fidimolu of Elepe Kingdom), elevating him from Baale to King of Elepe Kingdom. The Governor was represented by Mr. Bolaji Robert, Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs.
In his address, Governor Sanwo-Olu Congratulate Oba of Elepe Kingdom, highlighting the vital role traditional institutions play in the State’s progress.
He appealed to residents of Elepe to offer maximum support to Oba Adekoyejo,
Embracing his vision and working together for a brighter future.
He reaffirmed his administration’s dedication to supporting Tradition institutions and expressed his wishes for the kingdom’s prosperity under the monarch’s leadership and a long, successful reign.
Builder Daini appreciate Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s approval of the upgrade, noting that Elepe, one of the oldest settlements in Ikorodu Division, deserves a king. He expressed optimism that the kingdom will experience increased development, rich cultural activities, and promotion of heritage.
He also extended his appreciation to Ikorodu Division Council of Obas, the Commissioner of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, and the Permanent Secretary for their support and roles in making the upgrade possible.
As a native of Elepe, Daini pledged his support and other Stakeholders from the community to ensure the kingdom’s growth and progress.
HRM. Oba Abdulganiyu Adekoyejo Omotayo, Fidimolu of Elepe Kingdom, expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the Lagos State Government and Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu for elevating him to the position of King after 46 years as Baale.
He also extended his appreciation to Builder Olusesan Daini, the Council of Obas in Ikorodu Division and his Family for their unwavering support.
