In a bid to enhance the learning environment and promote better hygiene, the Igbogbo-Baiyeku Local Council Development Area (LCDA) has embarked on a project to construct modern sanitation facilities at Methodist Primary School in Elepe.

The project, which involves the building of a block of eight modern toilets, aims to provide improved hygiene facilities for students and staff. The initiative has received widespread support from the local community, with parents and teachers expressing their gratitude for the much-needed upgrade.

According to the Headmistress of the school, “This new block of toilets will address a longstanding need in our school. It will undoubtedly have a positive impact on our students’ health and their overall school experience.”

The construction of the toilets is expected to be completed within the next four weeks, with the LCDA assuring the community of timely and high-quality work. The project will be supervised by the Works and Infrastructure Department of the LCDA and constructed by Hadmeth Global Resources Ltd.

The Executive Chairman of the LCDA, Builder Olusesan Daini, emphasized the importance of collective responsibility in sustaining public infrastructure. He urged the school management to maintain and take care of the new facility once completed.

“This project is part of our larger strategy to improve public infrastructure across the LCDA,” said Builder Daini. “We are committed to ensuring that every child in our community has access to quality education and the necessary facilities to thrive.”
