
Residents of Oremeta in Ijede LCDA witnessed a momentous gathering as Hon. Motunrayo Gbadebo-Alogba, the Executive Chairman, hosted a stakeholders meeting to discuss the upcoming construction of Oremeta (Folashade Ibiwunmi Street). The meeting aimed to inform and seek cooperation from the residents of the community regarding the rehabilitation and construction of this vital road.
During her speech, Hon. Motunrayo Gbadebo-Alogba expressed her joy and sense of duty in welcoming everyone to the meeting. She emphasized the importance of the gathering, which served as an opportunity to notify the residents about the local government’s plans for the comprehensive rehabilitation and construction of Oremeta Road.
The construction work, set to commence in a few days, will involve the installation of concrete drainage channels and the laying of asphalt. To ensure the smooth and speedy progress of the project, the Chairman urged all stakeholders, including the Baale, chiefs, CDA executives, and residents, to cooperate fully by evacuating their vehicles and any structures that may impede the construction process.
Hon. Motunrayo Gbadebo-Alogba announced that the official flag-off ceremony for the construction would take place on the 15th of this month. She further stressed the importance of cooperation, urging stakeholders not to trouble the site workers and to support the timely completion of the project within the agreed-upon six-month timeframe.
The Baale, Chiefs, and Community Development Associations (CDAs) of Ijede LCDA conveyed their heartfelt appreciation to Hon. Motunrayo Gbadebo-Alogba, regarding the construction of Oremeta (Folashade Ibiwunmi Street).
They highlighted the anticipated benefits that the completion of the road would bring to the community, particularly in terms of enhanced movement and a boost to the local economy.
