Igbogbo-Baiyeku LCDA, the led Administration of Builder Olusesan Daini, Executive Chairman of Igbogbo-Baiyeku LCDA, disbursed 10 million naira relief fund to 500 residents of Igbogbo-Baiyeku LCDA, today 25th of April. This initiative comes as a response to the economic struggles faced by businesses and individuals following the removal of subsidies by the federal government.

During his speech, Builder Olusesan Daini emphasized the importance of supporting the community and its people. He acknowledged the impact of the removal of subsidies on the country’s infrastructure and the daily needs of its residents. To address this, the LCDA has decided to provide a shot of 20,000 naira to homes, aged individuals, and special people.

Out of the total relief fund, 10 million naira will be disbursed in cash today. The remaining 10 million naira will be allocated towards supporting businesses and community development initiatives. Daini expressed his commitment to personally visit various locations, including streets, markets, and businesses, to provide support to those in need, even if it means going unnoticed or unannounced.

Daini vowed to personally visit the market and streets to provide additional financial support to businesses facing challenges due to the removal of subsidies.

He acknowledged the difficulties caused by the removal of subsidies, including the increase in fuel prices and the impact on businesses. However, he reassured the community that these challenges are temporary and that the federal government is dedicated to the financial restructuring of the country. Daini emphasized that the ultimate goal is to bring about positive change and prosperity for all.

Daini also addressed the issue of fluctuating exchange rates, highlighting the recent decrease in the value of the dollar. He urged local traders, particularly those selling items unaffected by exchange rates, to reconsider their pricing strategies and reduce prices accordingly. He emphasized that this issue is not the fault of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, or himself, but rather a problem caused by individuals within the community.

He shared the successful distribution of one thousand bags of five kg of rice weeks ago within the community, as well as the release of grains by the federal government to the states.

He said Governor Sanwo-Olu, the Lagos State government launched “Ecocares,” a program aimed at providing free food to communities. Daini expressed his excitement about the upcoming distribution of food by the Lagos government, which is expected to commence within the next week or so.

Daini emphasized that the actions taken by the government are a testament to the All Progressives Congress (APC) party’s commitment to fulfilling promises. He assured the community that brighter days are ahead, and that the current situation will be surpassed by a more prosperous future.

He encouraged the community to remain resilient and not be discouraged by temporary challenges, comparing the process of building a house to the ongoing efforts to repair and improve the country.

Asiwaju Olorunfunmi Bashorun, a member of the Governor’s Advisory Council (GAC) in Lagos State, expressed his admiration for Builder Olusesan Daini’s efforts in the community. He wholeheartedly supported and endorsed the Chairman’s initiative, emphasizing that the President is diligently working to improve the lives of all citizens. He urged everyone to remain calm and assured them that the Government is committed to making life easier for everyone.

Bashorun also emphasized the importance of using the funds being distributed judiciously. He encouraged the community to make responsible decisions and ensure that the aid reaches those who need it most. Additionally, he shared that the State Government’s palliative measures are forthcoming and will be extended to all residents.

Hon. Taiwo Orenuga, the APC LGA Chairman of Igbogbo-Baiyeku LCDA, spoke on behalf of the party, expressing gratitude towards Chairman Daini for his benevolent acts towards the residents. Orenuga commended Daini for upholding the values of APC and thanked him for not disappointing their collective expectations.

The beneficiaries expressed their heartfelt appreciation to the Chairman for his kind gesture. They are deeply grateful for the support and pledge to utilize the funds responsibly. Additionally, they offer prayers for Daini’s continued success and advancement.

The aim of this initiative is to provide immediate financial assistance to individuals and businesses, ensuring that the community receives the support it requires during these challenging times. The funds was distributed in 500 places, with the remaining amount being utilized for community development projects.
