Amidst the current economic hardships facing the nation, Hon. Mobolaji Abubakre Ogunlende, Lagos State Commissioner for Youth and Social Development and Pioneer of Real Acts of Kindness (RAK) Development Foundation, continues to demonstrate his unwavering commitment, support, and dedication to his people, in this case, particularly women across the Badagry Federation. In alignment with Sustainable Development Goal 2, advocating for zero hunger, essential food items were distributed to women leaders across the Badagry Federation to be extended to the less privileged in the grassroots.

Speaking at the event, Hon. Ogunlende explained that this intervention stemmed from the need to provide succor to the populace amidst the current economic hardships. He emphasized that this edition specifically targeted women.

As reported across various media channels, a day before the holy month of Ramadan, a diverse group of beneficiaries and leaders gathered at the same venue to receive over 2950 packages containing essential food items for onward distribution to the needy.

“Taking it from the perspective of our administration under Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, the THEMESPlus agenda includes youth engagement, social inclusion and gender equality. Today’s initiative is for gender inclusion. We’re here today to distribute 1500 food items to different wards across Badagry Federation, irrespective of race, culture, religion and background, while the intention of this is to continue to give succor to our people. We will continue to give out to our people as the need and capacity arises,” Hon. Ogunlende stated.

The Badagry APC LGA Chairman, Mr. Gafar Meyon Muritala, hailed Hon. Ogunlende as a ‘True Ambassador,’ noting that his exemplary deeds continue to bring smiles to the faces of the less privileged and families in society.

Mrs. Sewede Pot-Balogun Olorunfemi, Women Leader of the RAK Political Unit, commended Hon. Ogunlende for his special interest in women in Badagry. “Today’s food palliative distribution is one of the biggest in Badagry and this would help most women who are the breadwinners in their families, to feed themselves and their children.”

Alhaja Mojisola Idayat Adeshina, All Progressive Congress Women Apex Leader, affirmed, “Since Mobolaji started to operate as a figure in Badagry, he has been good to women and others, he continues to feed people across the federation, I assure you that the palliatives will reach the intended beneficiaries.”

Mrs. Atoyebi Fausat Olayinka, APC Women Leader, Badagry Federation, reiterated that today’s event is a continuation of what Hon. Mobolaji has been doing. “This food items will bring laughter to countless households across Badagry Federation.”

Hon. Mobolaji Ogunlende continues to serve as a beacon of hope and inspiration, making positive impacts and contributions by bringing joy to countless families through his philanthropic activities, including the ongoing distribution of food palliatives (Ounje Anu) and the annual Ramadan Feeding Program, which feeds over 300 constituents daily throughout the holy month of Ramadan.

In attendance were the APC LGA Chairman, Badagry Local Government, Apex Women Leaders, Ward Women Leaders, and the leadership of other women support groups, including the Badagry Women Development Forum (BWDF).
