
In a commendable display of leadership and empathy, Hon. Motunrayo Gbadebo-Alogba, the Executive Chairman of Ijede LCDA, has taken action to distribute palliatives to the vulnerable and downtrodden in the community. This initiative is in line with the directive of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the Executive Governor of Lagos State, who has called on all council chairmen across the 20 local Government areas and 37 LCDAs in Lagos State to provide relief to those affected by the economic situation and subsidy removal.
Representing Hon. Motunrayo Gbadebo-Alogba at the distribution event was Hon. Femi Kabir, the Vice Chairman of Ijede LCDA. This gesture is a testament to the commitment of the government to ensure that every individual, regardless of their circumstances, feels the support and relief provided by the state government.
Hon. Gbadebo-Alogba emphasized the importance of extending support to every corner of the Local Government, ensuring that everyone feels the relief provided by the state government. She acknowledged that not everyone may be experiencing severe economic hardships, but it is essential to touch the lives of all community members and share love and support.
Chief Jamiu Adisa Baba Golden Jay, Hon. Ajetunmobi, Alhaji Ajala, and the Women Leader, along with the APC Chairman, represented by the Secretary, all joined in applauding Governor Sanwo-Olu for his efforts in providing a welfare package to the residents of Ijede LCDA and Lagos in extension. They also commended Hon. Motunrayo Gbadebo-Alogba for her remarkable achievements in Ijede LCDA.
The distribution of palliatives, which is essential food grains, aims to alleviate the challenges faced by the community members. This act of extending love and support is a reflection of the essence of democracy, where the Government is created by the people, for the people, and with the welfare of the people in mind.
