Igbogbo-Baiyeku LCDA under the leadership of Builder Olusesan Daini the Executive Chairman, organised Special multi-purpose year 2024 budget consultative forum alongside with commissioning of boreholes in the 5 wards, as well as free medical mission.

Builder Olusesan Daini the Executive Chairman of Igbogbo-Baiyeku LCDA who was represented by Hon. Okedina Nureini-Maja, the Vice Chairman and Supervisor for education, He said in preparation for the new year. As 2023 comes to a close, preparations are already underway for a productive 2024 budget.

To ensure the community’s needs are met, stakeholder meetings were conducted the Community Development Association (CDA) and other key individuals have the opportunity to share their concerns and add their input.

He empathised, In the past, these meetings were held in a centralized location for all five wards. However, it was realized that more community involvement and participation were necessary. To address this, the decision was made to decentralize the meetings and hold them in each ward individually. The sequence of the meetings began with C5, progressing to C4, C1, C3, and now concluding with C2.

During these stakeholder meetings, Hon. Okedina expressed his gratitude to the Chairman, legislative arm, and management for their attentiveness and cooperation. The entire team functions as a supportive and unified family, working together to serve the community. The feedback received from residents will be carefully analyzed and addressed. The priorities and requirements highlighted during the meetings will be incorporated into the planning process during the upcoming budget retreat.


He said, Igbogbo-Baiyeku LCDA acknowledges the financial challenges ahead, but they are determined to find innovative solutions. The team’s dedication and commitment to the community will undoubtedly lead to positive outcomes. The upcoming budget retreat will serve as a platform for strategic planning, ensuring that the allocated resources are utilized effectively to meet the needs of Igbogbo-Baiyeku residents.

Hon. Alimi Nurudeen Alowonle, the councilor representing Ward C3 and council leader of Igbogbo Baiyeku LCDA, in his speech he said “What makes this program truly unique and historical is that it marks the first time a budget stakeholder meeting has been conducted at the respective wards in Lagos State.”

Igbogbo Baiyeku LCDA aims to set an exemplary standard for local administration throughout the state. Hon. Alimk, during stakeholders’ meetings, assured the community members of the council’s commitment to working together and addressing their needs.

Ward C3

The synergy between the executive and legislative arms of the Igbogbo Baiyeku LCDA has played a vital role in the success of this program. Hon. Alimi acknowledged the strong and cordial relationship between himself, the council Chairman, and the Vice Chairman, emphasizing that they function as one united family.

Hon. Habeeb Anifowoshe, the councilor representing Ward C5 in Igbogbo-Baiyeku LCDA, expressed his heartfelt appreciation to the Chairman Builder Olusesan Daini for making the stakeholders meeting a reality. This meeting, the first of its kind in Lagos State and Nigeria as a whole, has set a new standard in local governance.

During the meeting, Hon. Anifowoshe applauded Builder Daini for his visionary leadership and the implementation of impactful projects. Specifically, he highlighted the borehole project that has brought clean and accessible water to their community. The councilor urged his constituents to exercise patience, as Igbogbo-Baiyeku LCDA, under Builder Daini’s guidance, continues to work diligently to address the needs and aspirations of the community.

Princess Basirat Adetutu Banjoko, the councilor representing Ward C1 in Igbogbo-Baiyeku LCDA, expressed her sincere appreciation to Builder Olusesan Daini for the unprecedented ward-level stakeholders meeting.

Princess Basirat Adetutu Banjoko emphasized the significance of this meeting, highlighting that it is a rare occasion that only happens once a year. The councilor recognized the importance of making the people feel included and connected to the council’s initiatives. To achieve this, the decision was made to decentralize the meeting and bring it directly to the ward level.

C4

Hon. Mathew Kola Olufemi Arowolo, the Majority Leader of Igbogbo Baiyeku LCDA and Councilor representing Ward C4, said the local government’s groundbreaking decision. Instead of the traditional budget retreat, they have chosen to hold a budget stakeholder meeting, making sure that the voices of the people are heard far and wide.

Additionally, the local government is providing essential medical attention to the elderly and commissioning a borehole at Rabaca bus stop, ensuring access to clean water for the community.

Ward C2

Hon. Sholanwo Akeem, the councilor representing Ward C2, and the Chief whip said They are not only fulfilling the promises they made to the people but going above and beyond.

He added “One of the key areas they are focusing on is access to clean water. They understand the importance of water and how it impacts every aspect of life.

Hon. Sholawon said Builder Daini has been making significant strides in providing relief to the community. Through various palliative measures, he is ensuring that the people of Igbogbo Baiyeku LCDA have the support they need during challenging times.

Stakeholders from various communities, Traditional leaders, CDA executives contributes their quota in terms of development, Security and lots more, which was duly noted by Councillors of each ward.
