Hon. Nurudeen Alimi, the Council Leader of Igbogbo-Baiyeku LCDA, and the Councillor representing Ward C3, expressed his heartfelt gratitude on behalf of his constituents in Ward C3 to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Senator Abiru, Rep. Babajimi Benson and others.

Hon. Nurudeen Alimi shed light on the history and maintenance of the road. The road was initially constructed in July 1986 by the Military Governor of Lagos State, Michael Ahigbe. However, since then, there has been a lack of serious maintenance, with only minimal efforts from the council.

During the tenure of Hon. Samson Ishola as Council representative for Ward C3, under the chairmanship of Gbenga Basanya, several palliative measures were undertaken. As a serving Councillor in Ward C3, Hon. Alimi facilitated additional palliatives through the support and approval of Bldr Olusesan Mayokun, the chairman of Igbogbo Bayeku LCDA. These palliatives were carried out four times in four different years, with the fifth one being done in February 2023 by Hon. Jimi Benson, the Representative.

Hon. Solaja also provided support during his tenure, responding to Hon. Alimi’s requests for palliatives on four occasions. The recent relief for the road comes from Hon. Aro Moshood Abiodun.

Hon. Alimi expressed his gratitude to various stakeholders who played a crucial role in this achievement. These include PBAT, Gov. Sanwoolu, Sen. Abiru, Rep. JB, the Adeboruwa of Igbogbo, Asiwaju Olorunfunmi Basorun, Sen. Adeseye Ogunlewe, Hon. AMA, Bldr. Olusesan Daini Executive Chairman Igbogbo-Baiyeku LCDA, the Baale of Offin, the Baale of Oreta, The APC Apex Leaders in Ward C3, CDAs exco, and most importantly, the resilient and confident constituents who have persevered as road users.
