In a continuation of the Subsidy Removal Palliative by Ikosi-Isheri LCDA, Princess Samiat Abolanle Bada, the Mayoress of Ikosi-Isheri LCDA, has demonstrated her commitment to the welfare of the community by providing much-needed palliative support.

Recognizing the recent collapse of dilapidated buildings in Agboye Estate, Mayoress Bada and other leaders visited the affected ward to rally around the residents and offer subsidies.

Accompanied by Hon. Eto Afolabi, an Apex leader in Ikosi-Isheri, and the councilor of the ward, Mayoress Bada ensured that the palliative support reached those who needed it most.

The presence of supervisors and state officials monitoring the area addressed concerns of flooding, emphasizing that the collapse was due to the deteriorating condition of the buildings rather than proximity to rivers or oceans.

The Mayoress and her team have also extended their support to other wards, including Ward A in Magodo Phase 1 and Ward G, where vulnerable individuals greatly benefited from the palliative assistance.

Princess Samiat Bada added “This morning, we have been to Ward A in magodo phase 1 you can see the crowd because it was not announced there, from there, we went to ward G where they needed this palliative the most because they are vulnerable, we left there and went to ward C where the same vulnerable people came out to receives the palliatives.

In conclusion she said “It was surprising that we could see alot of people coming out to collect the palliative, it means they really needed it and that we approached the places it was needed, we also distributed to ward D in front of kabiesi onikosi palace, and we ensure we distributed the palliatives to them, by tomorrow we will round up with Ward F and Ward B.”

Hon. Afolabi Kareem, popularly known as “ABK,” the former Executive Secretary of Ikosi-Isheri LCDA Ward E, residing in Omojuwa, appreciate the generosity of LCDA Chairman Princess Bolanle Bada, for the palliative support that was extended to Ward E. Today, the ward’s residents can expect the distribution of essential food items, bringing much-needed relief during these challenging times. While this is not the first time such support has been provided, the current hardships faced by the community make this palliative particularly significant.

ABK expressed gratitude and believes that the people will be delighted by this gesture of kindness. ABK also encourages everyone to continue their patience and understanding with the government, assuring them that efforts are underway to alleviate the impact of recent events. Notably, ABK emphasizes the importance of adhering to government instructions, especially regarding adequate setbacks when constructing houses. ABK recalls previous warnings issued by himself and former Chairman Soname regarding the lack of proper spacing between houses in the area. Fortunately, the intervention of the Lagos State Government prompted residents to relocate, preventing any casualties.

Hon. Adegoke Aderogba, the councilor representing Ward E and the majority leader of the Legislative House, in his speech in a significant empowerment palliative program was held at the affected location to alleviate the suffering of the displaced people led by the dedicated efforts of Princess Samiat Bada and the council, every regulatory standard was diligently followed to prevent such a tragic occurrence. The palliative support provided will serve as a temporary relief, helping to mitigate the impact of the disaster.

Hon. Adegoke Aderogba urges the community to continue supporting the government at all levels during these challenging times. He assured the people that the government is fully committed to bringing the dividends of democracy and ensuring quality representation for all.
