Rep. Babajimi Benson Member House of Representatives, Ikorodu federal constituency facilitated the establishment of two new ICT Centers in Ikorodu federal constituency. The centers are located at Methodist Primary School in Igbogbo-Baiyeku LCDA and Anglican Primary School in Isawo, Ikorodu West LCDA.

The ICT center at Methodist Primary School is fully equipped with 15 computer systems, an inverter, binder, Printer, router, Generator, and fans.

The teacher in charge of the ICT center Mr. Ajewole Oluwatimilehin expressed their excitement about the opportunities it provides for the students.

He mentioned that having access to modern-age technology in the school surpasses the standards of some business centers. With 24-hour internet and power supply, students can conduct online research, complete assignments using Microsoft Word and Excel, and gain practical knowledge.

The ICT center will also benefit students during model exams, which are computer-based. The familiarity with the system will make it easier for them to navigate the exams and select their answers. The teacher expressed gratitude to Hon. Babajimi Benson for providing this incredible opportunity to the school.

Hon. Taiwo Abimbola Owomilowomi, the Majority Leader of Ikorodu West LCDA, shared the incredible contribution made by Rep. Babajimi Benson to the newly acquired ICT center at Anglican Primary School in Isawo-Oke-oko, Igbo-olomu axis. On August 7th, 2023, Rep. Babajimi Benson provided a wide range of fully functional ICT gadgets and accessories to the school.

Prior to this, the school had never owned an ICT center, The ICT center is a first-of-its-kind in Ikorodu West LCDA, thanks to the kind-heartedness of Rep. Babajimi Benson, it is now fully operational. The generous donation included a large capacity generator, 18 brand new computers, a 10KVA inverter with solid batteries, 15 KVA stabilizers, 32 cushion chairs, solar panels worth 3,000, converters, a projector with a whiteboard, and large fans, among other digital accessories. This gesture is a significant step towards promoting digital literacy for the pupils of Anglican Primary School, Isawo.
