Jigi Bola is a free eye screening and surgical operation for Lagosians, it was introduced by former Governor of Lagos State Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the year 2001.

The Asiwaju Distinguished Ambassadors Movement (ADAM) also imbibe the spirit by Organising free test, the opticians had about five hundred free eye tests and 300 pair of glasses were given out.

600 person’s were screened for High blood pressure, diabetes, Breast examination, malaria and more.

A free medical check was also carried out which doctors attended to individual.

According to the convener Aarebirin Hon Princess Folashade Olabanji-Oba, she said “we’re doing this because eyes is very paramount to the human body, also we also use the term used by our Leader Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.”

“The covener of ADAM emphasis how helpful this initiative was, because some people were not able to afford the cost of test and and that of eye glasses at that period, that is why we’re awakening that spirit of doing the same thing our National Leader did when he was the Governor of Lagos State.”
