Former Executive Chairman of Agboyi-Ketu Local Council Development Area, Dele Oshinowo, has declared his intention to contest for a seat in the House of Representatives, promising stronger and more effective representation for the people of Kosofe Federal Constituency.
In a statement highlighting his track record at the grassroots, Oshinowo said his administration delivered impactful projects and initiatives that transformed lives across Agboyi-Ketu and the larger Kosofe axis. He noted that his leadership went beyond promises, emphasizing that visible development and renewed hope became defining features of his tenure.
“We didn’t just make promises, we did the work. And that work was seen and felt. Lives were transformed and hopes renewed across Agboyi-Ketu and Greater Kosofe,” he stated.
The former council boss stressed that his administration set a new benchmark in grassroots governance by responding promptly to community needs and executing projects across multiple sectors. According to him, every area of development received attention, reinforcing his commitment to inclusive progress.
Turning to his next political ambition, Oshinowo described his aspiration as a call to elevate representation for Kosofe at the national level. He assured constituents of his readiness to bring the same level of dedication and performance to legislative duties.
“Kosofe deserves stronger, louder, and more effective representation. That is why I am stepping forward—ready, prepared, and committed to take this to the next level,” he said.
He further pledged not to deviate from his record of performance, promising purposeful and impactful representation if elected. Oshinowo also emphasized the importance of transitioning from executive governance to legislative service, where he intends to craft policies that directly benefit the people.
“I have never disappointed, and I will not start now. This is about showing what true representation looks like—purposeful, visible, and impactful,” he added.
Calling for public support, Oshinowo urged constituents to back his bid for the House of Representatives, expressing confidence that together, they can build on existing achievements and further advance the development of Kosofe.
His declaration signals the beginning of what is expected to be a keenly contested race for the Kosofe Federal Constituency seat, as political activities gradually intensify ahead of the next general elections.
